Exams were done and Bree had done what she hoped was her best. Potions hadn't gone quite the way she wanted, but it was expected due to her brief hiatus from brewing.

But now, the stress of the year slowly falling away, the prefect decides to head to her end of year quiet spot. Previous years had her watching new friends pack up their things and old friends racing around, but now? The spot lay empty as she did a practice brew on her own, settling back into the person that she used to be, but still...so very different.

Spring in a micrometer.

I found this week's Macro Monday theme intriguing. What is space? What defines it? Why do we want to fill it (with springs if nothing else, lol! ) How do we measure it? And why is our society consumed with defining and measuring things, not least ourselves and our children?

Unfortunately this philosophical reverie was pretty useless at generating good image ideas for the theme. So this is my effort anyway, complete with wobbly spring to question our perspective of space - I hope you enjoy it and thanks for looking!

[The (more) boring bit: The micrometer is antique (hence the patina) and has been in my family for at least fifty years, maybe 70. The spring is from a ballpoint pen. Top-lit in daylight on black card with a sheet of white paper to reflect a little more light on to the subject front. The usual tripod and delay shutter. Processed in LR with dark vignette and gradient shadow from left. Detail enhanced using Topaz Detail and converted to B&W (quad-tone with red palette) with Topaz B&W.]

So yeah Im back from exams! Sorry to followers for being inactive and to the people I follow for not commenting/ favoriting. But now that I'm back I should have a hulk out soon and an AK in a week or 2. I also have a ton of customs I'm going to be posting soon. So Happy Summer everyone!

Sequal Storyline: So as the tourist and the tour guy Lee, was in the truck. They spotted a huge lion and that it was examing the truck to see what it was. Lee probably knew that this huge lion scared all of the animals in it and so thats why there was no animals for miles. Lee knew what to do and told the tourists that he was going to distracted the lion by running away from it and then they should run out the other way so that it is chasing him. The tourists tried to convince not too but Lee has no other way but to scarfice himself to them. So Lee grab a rope just in case for something and water bottle too so he couled probably drink while running. Lee got out of the truck and shouted to the huge lion saying "Hey huge lion, you want meat? come and get it. So Lee starts to run fast and Scar started to chase him down while others got out and started to run away from the lion safely. So Scar chased him down and before you know it, he got stomp but not crush since the lion wants to exam it. So Scar picks him up and actually it talks too saying, "well well looks like I have here a little tiny human trying to escape." Lee was in shocked to see a lion talking to him and so he responded, you could talk? Scar said yes and that I am usually quiet but you know I wanted to catch the prey and so I caught you. Scar introduced himself and all that he wanted to take over the savannah for himself that the other animals ran away. So neither the less, he was hungry and that he wanted him in his belly. Scar open wide his mouth and the guy grab his rope and hook it on his finger so he won't be lunch. Scar notice it and he loves to play with his food. So he tried to shake him off from the rope and Lee is about to slip, so who knows how long he could last with the rope. To make things worse, Scar unleashes his smelly breathe onto the human and it was really bad that he passed out and landed on the tongue of scar. Scar slowly rolled up the tongue and just swallow the Lee himself into his stomach. Scar was satisfied and now is looking for more people. Scar knows there were more in the truck and so he seeks them out as Lee has died along with his great workers too. (to be continued)..

That's not a good photo but you can see the mess in my room. I love what I'm studying but please, I can't study anymore, I really want to finish the exams!

Faltan unos días para mi cumpleaños… y creo que esto nos pasa a todos, pero últimamente me encuentro melancólica. Recordé cuando vivíamos en Tampico, y con esa urgencia por crecer me ponía unos zapatos de tacón de mi mama. Llegaron a mi muchos recuerdos, de todos los lados donde vivimos y otros donde anduvimos de paso. Recuerdo los líos de cada año entre hacer la fiesta el 24 de noviembre (día del cumpleaños de mi hermano) o el día de mi cumpleaños, hasta que inteligentemente mi madre dijo “Un año festejaremos el día de Javier y el siguiente de Maria Luisa”, claro esta que cada quien tenia su pastel, su clásica gelatina y sus invitados. Recordé mi primer cumpleaños cuando llegamos a vivir a Celaya, mi papa estaba de viaje en el Df y yo no quería dormir, porque el me aseguro que llegaría, ya entrada la noche (serian las 9 de la noche, pero para una niña de 7 años ya era tarde) y llego mi papa, con una gran caja de hermosos colores en rosa mexicano (ahora se que era de Liverpool) y después de un largísimo abrazo, descubrí que dentro de esa caja había un gigante (ahora que lo miro me doy cuenta de que no es gigante) oso panda!!!!!! Y que estaba acompañado de unos ricos chocolatines “de chocolate blanco”. De ahí después el primer cumpleaños aquí, en mi casa. Ufff, van pocos cumpleaños y son muchos recuerdos!!!! Después viene la época de secundaria donde regularmente el día de mi cumpleaños tenia examen. Épocas en que tenía muchos conocidos aquí en la colonia y podía decir entonces que igual tenía muchos amigos en la escuela. La época de la prepa, cosas locas siempre!!!! Lo bueno de esta época es que rogaba a mis compañeros para que el día de mi cumpleaños no programáramos ningún examen, pues regularmente estábamos en exámenes finales del semestre. Era una locura, las primeras discos y la primera vez que un amigo (hijo de mi madrina de primera comunión) junto con sus compañeros de grupo me han traído serenata en mi cumpleaños!!!! Luego en el tec, ya en este tiempo no era lo mismo, muchas cosas en mi familia estaban cambiando, nos juntábamos todo un grupo inmenso para festejar mi cumpleaños con los clásicos jochos!!!!!

Recuerdo la ultima vez que mi papa se acordó del “día de mi cumpleaños", así como la ultima tarjeta de cumpleaños que me dio mi mama y que tiene un mensaje escrito que casi no se entiende, pues ya estaba ella muy enferma, pero que aun así no dejo de preguntarme que era lo que quería para mi cumpleaños y yo no repare en decirle “quiero una muñeca”, ella me dio el dinero y fui a comprarla...

Ahora… ahora que ya deje de tener esa urgencia por crecer y que han pasado tantas cosas, por primera vez en mi vida, no espero emocionada el día de mi cumpleaños, ni molesto a mis conocidos con el “faltan 15 días” y cada día mandar mensaje diciéndoles “falta un día menos para mi cumpleaños”. Podría decirse que por varias circunstancias mis últimos cumpleaños podrían denominarse como “nefastos”. Lo único que espero hasta el día de hoy, es que mi hermano se acuerde de mi cumpleaños y que, como todos los años, me llame para felicitarme.

Se que ya crecí… se que ya incluso sobrepase la medida de los zapatos que usaba mi mama, se que puedo ir a cualquier lado y festejarme, que puedo irme de antro, aunque después me corran porque solo consumo agua mineral con hielo (jajajajaja), pero la realidad es, que extraño sentirme querida cuando menos un día al año simplemente por ser el día de mi cumpleaños y no tener que dar excusas para dar o recibir un abrazo… extraño tanto tener a mi familia en estos días… extraño tanto a mis amigos que con el paso del tiempo se volvieron parte de mi familia y que ya no están… extraño a la gente que amo y que por el trabajo, la distancia o por propia decisión no esta conmigo…

Cuando somos niños tendrían que enseñarnos que “NO debemos de tener urgencia por crecer”

عند بداية كل مادة، وفي بداية كل دراسة :

اللهم إني أسألك باسمك المكنون المخزون يا بديع السموات والأرض ياذا الجلال والإكرام يا ذا الطول والإنعام أن تيسر لي دراسة هذه المادة وأن تعينني على فهمها وعلمها، وأن تزيدني علماً وعملاً وفقهاً في الدين.

اللهم إني أسألك فهم النبيين، وحفظ المرسلين والملائكة المقربين.

إذا صعبت عليك مسألة أو استعصى عليك حفظ مادة :

"اللهم لا سهلَ إلا ما جعلته سهلاً، وأنت تجعلُ الحَزْنَ إذا شئتَ سهلاً "

" رب يسِّر ولا تعسِّر"

عند نهاية كل كتاب أو في نهاية كل دراسة في كل يوم تقول:

"اللهم إني أستودعك ما قرأت وما حفظتُ وما فهمتُ في خزائن علمك وحفظك فأعده عليّ وقت حاجتي إليه مع الزيادة مما عندك إنك أكرم الأكرمين"

قبل الذهاب للامتحان:

إذا استطعت صلي ركعتين على نية التيسير في الامتحان، ثم إذا استطعت أن تقرأ سورة يس على نية التوفيق. سواء في البيت أو في طريقك إلى المدرسة.

عند خروجك من المنزل:

"بسم الله توكلت على الله، لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله، اللهم إني أعوذ بك أن أضِِلَّ أو أُضَلَّ، أو أَزِلَّ أو أُزَلَّ، أو أظلِمَ أو أُظْلَم، أو أجْهَلََ أو يُجْهَلَ عليَّ"

"اللهم إني توكلت عليك، وفوضت أمري إليك، لا ملجأ ولا منجى منك إلا إليك"

عند دخول قاعة الإمتحان:

"اللهم افتح عليَّ فتوح عبادك العارفين، اللهم انقلني من حولي وقوتي وحفظي إلى حولك وقوتك وحفظك، اللهم اجعل لي من لدنك سلطاناً نصيراً"

عند استلام ورقة الاسئلة حاول ألا تقرأ الأسئلة حتى تهدأ أعصابك واقرأ أثناء ذلك الصلاة النارية:

"اللهم صلِّ صلاةً كاملة، وسلم سلاماً تاماً على سيدنا محمد، الذي تنحلُّ به العقد، وتنفرج به الكُرَبْ، وتُقْضى به الحوائجُ، وتُنَالُ به الرّغائبُ، وحُسنَ الخواتيم، ويُستسقى الغَمامُ بوجهه الكريم، وعلى آله وصحبه في كل لمحةٍ ونَفَسٍ بعدد كل معلوم لك"

عند بدء الإجابة على الأسئلة :

مهما كانت الأسئلة صعبة وشاقة فلا تتذمر ولا تضطرب، بل كُن مبتسماً كما أُمرت، وكن راضياً لأنك عبدٌ للفتاح، واستعن بالله ولا تعجز، وقل:

"رب اشرح لي صدري ويسر لي أمري واحلل عقدة من لساني يفقهوا قولي"

إذا نسيت مسألة:

"اللهم افتح علينا بسيدنا محمد e ما أُغلِق علينا. اللهم صلى على سيدنا محمد e صلاة تفتحُ لنا بها أبواب الرضا والتيسير، وتغلق بها أبوب الشر والتعسير، أنت مولانا فنعم المولى ونعم النصير"
