It's fungus seen on the side of a wooden post. It's may be icky, yes, but it's kinda interesting to examine on the zoomed-in view, IMO.
Or, thanks to a comment from Deborah Leu, I'm thinking now that this may be a lichen.

It must have been a nasty tasting bug from the look on this Fox Kit's face. We did see them activiely chase bugs for extra protein, but this time it was a nasty tasting bug.

The British population of grey seals is of great international conservation importance and we are fortunate to have a thriving colony on the Lincolnshire coast.
For much of the year the seals are at sea or hauled out on distant sandbanks, but during the winter they come to breed near the dunes on the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve at Donna Nook. They are present on the beach in November and December.

A very entertaining and worthwhile interactive exhibit on nutrition at the Franklin Institute in Phila.
These things do nothing for me, they are almost as bad as 90MACs and yet I know everyone's eyes dilatate out here when one of these takes the point, but since these are still fairly new do to a lack of activity when they were deliver the paint is still pretty decent. So anyways here EMD's fifteenth or so attempt at making something as successful as a SD40-2 or even hitting and similar high notes that some of the previous SD70 models made with individual carriers. As Union Pacific 3063 slugs 70 empty autoracks for the Ferromex at Rio Grande, Texas around the big curve near the top of Beaumont.

The turret was a pain as well as the front of the hull but it all paid off. Still dont know why they'd put a howitzer on a light tank, though xD

What a slippery odd-working this has become. It is not rare for a VH to come out on the 148, but a consistent running pattern between outings had not been established so whereas one would just do a round or two, on another occasion a VH could run in and out of service in the morning and afternoon.
Contrary to this, VH45197 was out pretty much the whole of Notting Hill Carnival Monday. I managed to meet it a few minutes before it curtailed at Victoria Station, its course of direction leaving me slightly confused for positioning as it embarked towards the bus stop on Buckingham Palace Road to complete the journey alternative to Terminus Place.
