Time flies,
After a hot summer, so the cows weren't out much,
It was too hot and too dry.
Now we have wolves in the area. Which means the ladies have to get in on time.
The weather is getting colder, so the grazing season is almost over.
So next year hope the wolves stay away.
Several sheep, cows and a pony have already been attacked and died of their injuries.
A concern for now and the future
Greetings Caroline and the farm animals

The UK's favourite bird - with its bright red breast it is familiar throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical, and young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown. Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. They will sing at night next to street lights. (RSPB)

We woke up this morning to a similar scene, not so extensive but definitely white! However, it's now been washed away by the subsequent rain (will it ever stop?!).
I would like to thank all my friends here on Flickr for your friendship & stimulation over the past year, and wish you a joyful Christmastime despite the horrible year we've all experienced.
Apologies that you've seen this scene before - but with the added greeting(!) and this morning's snow I decided to go for it.
Love & best wishes for a better 2021, Roy.
"If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died
And I'm singing
Amen I, Amen I, Amen I, I'm alive"
(I specifically wanted to keep a dark background to give more meaning to the words in the description.) Thank you ♥
Wishing Everyone a Very Happy Thanksgiving Filled With Love, Peace, Friends & Family

'Tis the season for giving. Have a very Merry Christmas everyone. May you have a wonderful holiday season.
Back to the Garden of the Museum of the Republic, another species found is the domestic goose ((Anser cygnoides domesticus / Anser anser). This type of goose is part of a family of birds that includes ducks and swans.
There are more than 40 varieties of geese. Wild geese inhabit temperate regions, migrating to warmer locations during the winter.
Geese were domesticated in Ancient Egypt for meat production and feathers for making arrows.
In general, domestic geese are more active at night, and due to their territorial sense they can play guard dog functions, as mentioned about Signaler Geese. The captive bird can live up to 50 years.
Something interesting I noticed about the geese and ducks that live in the garden of the Museu da República is that everyone takes care of and protects the goose or duck chiks. So, no matter who are the parents they taking care of everyone.

Until then Please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! (^^)
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to fave, comment or simply view my uploads over the last 12 months - I hope you've enjoyed them and, as always, your time is very much appreciated. Merry Christmas, and my best wishes to you and yours for a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.
This shot was originally uploaded 9 years ago and captured back in 1976 when I made a day trip down to Reading chasing the fast-disappearing class 52 Westerns. Less than 2 months later they would all be gone and the diesel-hydraulic era, heralded as the modern replacement for steam on the Western Region, would come to an end little more than 11 years after the last steam locomotives ran on these metals.
Thankfully I had film to spare that day and, in frosty and foggy conditions, I captured this image of a 3H class 205 DEMU no. 1130 as it approached one of the bay platforms out of the gloom with a service from Basingstoke. The headcode 66 was correct for this service. No rework was required on this occasion, but I did delete the original upload.
