Arco Castle is a castle ruin on a mountain ridge near the town of Arco. The castle probably existed since around 1,000 AD, first mentioned in documents in 1,124.
After an eventful history the castle was abandoned in 1,703, following a siege and bombardement. It fell in ruins until it was finally acquired by the town of Arco, careful restoration begun in 1,982.

HI FELLOW FLICKRIGHTS, trust all is well with you, good to be back from a very enjoyable and eventful birding trip to the Gambia with my brother Bob. After a two-year gap, it was good to see evan the most common birds again, we stay local to Kotu Bridge, and do not use any guides, more rewarding locating them ourselves, have so many images so will post a new bird every day for a while. Thank you for being a friend, and I thank God for looking after us, in a few sticky situations.
God bless you all.........Tomx

The Blue Breasted Kingfisher is a joy to see, usually by water, but they tend to enjoy hunting crabs in our coastal Kotu area.

This morning's sunrise was as non-eventful - thick low clouds and colorless - as almost every morning so far this year. Caught a special moment when the sun hit an opening in the clouds, created beautiful crepuscular rays, which lasted for only a few minutes.
I hope you're having a good day/night, thanks for your visit! 🌺😊

Your trip has been long and eventful. The open road and your long line of fellow bikers is feeding your soul but you need something for your belly. You all instinctively head for the place up ahead called Roady's and a good time is had by all.

An eventful, beautiful but also very strenuous weekend (with little sleep and lots of hiking in the fresh air) is over. It's still a bit difficult for me to find the energy to start the working week.
But we won't let that stop us, right? With this in mind, I wish you all a successful start to the week.

Dear Flickr Friends,
It has been quite a while since I have been active here.
It has been an eventful year so far, with numerous health issues and hospitalizations, as well as a cruise to Norway squeezed in.
I won't be very active yet on Flickr, as I am still battling health problems, but I will manage to participate now and then.
In the meanwhile, here are some pictures of Mt. Rainier taken last summer, as this summer has been very hot and dry and we have had weeks and weeks of smoky skies and unhealthy air from all the wildfires burning all around our area. There have not been many days with clear skies.

Thank you all so much for your views, faves and comments.
I appreciate each one!

Well this morning was certainly eventful. Having spent a few days up in Northumberland sadly it was time to say goodbye yet again.
We'd packed the car with most of our things the night before.
The alarm went off at 4.30am, up washed and ready. A few remaining things to pack into the car, after stripping the bed and parceling up the towels etc, this Covid has a lot to answer for.
Not really what I'd like to be doing at 4.30 in the morning!
Well Ken opens the door and guess, your right it's piddling down lol!
Now quite often I'd say ahhh well we'll leave it and go another time.
But as we had arranged to meet up with Skyebaggie, who was down on a short break, the fact the bed was stripped and it was my last chance out with the camera. Hey-ho, off we went.
As you all know I'm not a great lover of country roads, so the journey took a little longer than expected.
We arrived on Holy Island, with a small line of colour along the horizon. This was one of the first images I captured
I'll post what happened afterwards at a later time.
Well after an eventful few hours down at Steetley capturing that gorgeous sunrise, we decided to have a walk around the prom at the Headland in Old Hartlepool.
The light and sky still looked wonderful, so I decided to try out the newly acquired very early Xmas present donated to me by an exceptionally kind Flickr friend.
It's early days yet, lots of buttons and toggles to get used to and hopefully with Ken's conversion of all the jargon I'll get there.
Kept it simple in composition, I'm not sure you'll feel the same but I could stare out to sea for hours
03-october-2020: the end of a weather eventful day from the promenade of the Trieste Coast (Barcola), to the north of the City, towards the "Costiera" of the homonymous gulf.
The end of a very eventful day. Fun stuff. THANK YOU JESUS FOR ANOTHER WONDERFUL DAY!
------------------------------ JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------
SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS ALONE!
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so they might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH! Because JESUS LOVES YOU! ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

On the rooftop terrace of the Reichstag building with the Reichstag dome - which has always reminded me of a beehive - at the center. The new Reichstag dome, designed by Norman Foster in 1993 (with the inclusion of a design by Gottfried Böhm: the spiraling staircase that allows visitors to climb up to the - open - top of the cupola), is one of Berlin's best-known landmarks and is visited by more than two million people each year. The dome was designed environmentally-friendly, with a cone at the center that directs sunlight into the debating hall of the Bundestag, the German Parliament, on the groundfloor; vistors can also see the debating chamber from the dome. I will write some more about the dome's design and also the eventful history of the Reichstag building for my next upload which, consequently, will be an image taken inside of the dome. So stay tuned, dear Flickr friends.

The beautiful village of Sakrisoy in the Lofoten Islands, catching the morning light during our recent eventful visit.
I ❤ AMSTERDAM - Amsterdam has a long and eventful history. The origins of the city lie in the 12th century, when fishermen living along the banks of the River Amstel built a bridge across the waterway near the IJ, which at the time was a large saltwater inlet. Wooden locks under the bridge served as a dam protecting the village from the rising IJ waters, which often flooded the early settlement. The mouth of the river Amstel, where the Damrak is now, formed a natural harbor, which became important for trading-exchange from the larger koggeships into the smaller ships that sailed the merchandise deeper into the hinterland.
2019 was a eventful and exciting year.
One of the highlights was the hot air balloon ride at sunrise over Passau. The light mood and the morning haze created such an magical scenery. Hope you like it.

After several days of researching eventfully, I rich to the following conclusion.
- f/4 or lower for stack focusing
- Resolution medium for transfer between Lightroom and Photoshop
- less shot as low as cover all subject
- Adjusting backlight and background
For sure this has some problem please advise. Thank you
An eventful and atmospheric evening up on the fells of the Lake District and I managed to capture this shot of fellow photographer John Bleakley making his way down off the flanks of Grey Friar as the night was drawing in.
The conditions could aptly be described as changeable as Terry Roberts and myself descended with John. We were blessed with some wonderful periods of light and colour as waves of low cloud swept in off the Irish Sea, producing some challenges and opportunities as we eventually made our way down to Wrynose Pass in the dark.
Not the most eventful hike at Terra Cotta this morning, but was happy to find a pair of creepers feeding on a tree. Very odd weather +16 degrees in December. Anyone who says the climate isn't changing is still living under a rock. Although it may help some species push north, I fear for the Grey Jays in Algonquin Park this fall, their reproductive success is directly tied to how cold the fall and early winter is.
With the prospect of a decent sunset, I popped to the coast and what an eventful evening on the "longest day of the Year".
I had a recce at Sandylands before I went to the location pictured here. I didn't find anything that grabbed me there, so I walked back to the car. As I did so, a young couple were heading along the walkway towards me on their cycles when suddenly the young lady inadvertently clashed into her partners bike and she crashed heavily. It was clear she was badly injured, I ran over and she had fractured her right arm and possibly her collar bone too. So I provided first aid and called an ambulance. That took quite a while and after finding a local resident to provide a blanket and pillow for her, it was a wait for the Ambulance which actually came pretty quickly.
Anyway, I still had about 45 minutes until sunset, so I went near the Midland Hotel and put my wellies on and headed out onto the receding tide to a couple of the "Shrimping boats" that were quickly being left high and dry.
Here is one of the first shots I took before I saw a lovely golden sunset. It certainly felt like the longest day!
Windy but eventful sunset down at Nash point the other night. The cliffs are stunning there and its one of the few places ive been to which looks totally different, even a little better with the tide out. Been off Flickr for ages so keen to see what the site is all about now. Thanks for looking and Happy Friday!
Taken during an eventful stroll in the Kent countryside yesterday, during which we were threatened by a herd of bullocks and a ewe, scratched to bits by thistles, stung by nettles, and had to cross a very rotten bridge over a river. The countryside is dangerous!
Processing in Luminar 4 but with original sky.
Hi all, hope everyone is doing OK, I've had a fairly eventful few months so not been around much....very few photos taken but I managed not to kill some Sweet Peas over the summer (we had a drought here in the East of the UK so daily watering required which I'm not very good at!)- so I photographed them to prove my nurturing skills- haha!
This was one of those occasions where I took some phone shots and some 'proper camera shots' and the phone ones turned out better. Obviously I've messed with it in Lightroom too but the ancient and very unfashionable phone (it's a lot like me!) did good!
The title is a play on words, as the shape of the jetty stretches out to sea.
Well what an eventful few days I've just had lol!
This image was captured on a jetty at Lytham. Not having been here before, I must admit to being a little apprehensive about the incoming tide, which was rising pretty quick. The Long Exposure seemed to take forever.
Suppose being close to the RNLI was a bonus, had I fallen in, as I can't swim.
The wind was really strong and I did worry about the stability of the tripod, being so out in the open.
Im pleased with the result though and hope to go back for another try!

This place must have suffered an earthquake recently. There was a nearly new Fiat in the courtyard flattened with brickwork and many rooms falling down and evidence of huge cracks in the outer walls. Was unique and frightening at the same time.

The Externsteine, are a unique cultural monument that has fascinated people since time immemorial. A medieval, sacred site in the midst of bizarre Sandstone cliffs, this is how visitors experience the Externsteine in the heart of the Lipperland.
The characteristic Rock formation rises up to 40 meters into the air. Both the viewing platform with the staircase from the 19th century, as well as the medieval grotto bear witness to the eventful history.
Above all, however, the relief of the Descent from the Cross, which was carved into the rocks by medieval stonemasons, is of worldwide importance.
The oldest nature reserve in Lippe around the Rock group invites you to immerse yourself in early history with its surrounding forests.
The Externsteine are part of the middle mountain range of the Teutoburg Forest, which is mainly composed of sandstones from the Lower Cretaceous period.
In the course of mountain building about 70 million years ago, the originally flat sandstone was pressed vertically in the area of the mountain range.
This monumental group of rocks, one of the most remarkable natural and cultural monuments in Central Europe, still raises many questions today.
*Information from the National Association Lippe.
