Normaliter wordt elke twee jaar wordt het evenement " Dordt in Stoom" georganiseerd. Door Corona viel de 2020 editie echter uit. Tijdens Dordt in stoom staat de binnenstad van Dordrecht dan vol met stoomwalsen, stoomtractors, stoomauto's, stoommachines, en andere met stoom aangedreven voertuigen. Verder ligt de haven vol met diverse stoombootjes en schepen. Met sommige kan een vaart gemaakt worden naar de modelshow. En van daaruit weer met de SSN stoomtrein terug naar het station Dordrecht. Dit jaar weer met mijn vader en zoon op pad geweest en genoten van het rondje Dordt en veel gefotografeerd.
Normally every two years the event "Dordt in Steam" is organized. In 2020 however, it was canselled due to Corona. During Dordt in stoom the city of Dordrecht is filled with steam rollers, steam tractors, steam cars, steam engines and other steam-powered vehicles. Furthermore, the harbour is filled with various steam boats and ships. Some can be used one short trip to the model show. And from there with the SSN steam train back to the station Dordrecht. I went with my father and eldest son and enjoyed the round tour through Dordt and made a lot of pictures.
Normalerweise wird die Veranstaltung „Dordt in Stoom“ alle zwei Jahre organisiert. Aufgrund von Corona wurde die Ausgabe 2020 jedoch abgesagt. Während Dordt in Steam ist die Innenstadt von Dordrecht voller Dampfwalzen, Dampftraktoren, Dampfwagen, Dampfmaschinen und anderen dampfbetriebenen Fahrzeugen. Darüber hinaus ist der Hafen voll von verschiedenen Dampfschiffen und Schiffen. Mit einigen können Sie einen Ausflug zur Modellschau machen. Und von dort mit dem SSN-Dampfzug zurück zum Bahnhof Dordrecht. Dieses Jahr war ich wieder mit meinem Vater und meinem Sohn unterwegs und habe den Rundgang durch Dordt genossen und viele Fotos gemacht.
Als full time vader en echtgenoot sta ik, op de incidentele hoofdlijnritten van de SSN of VSM en de evenementen na, bijna niet meer langs het spoor. Wat ik aan NS (of andere maatschappijen) materieel fotografeer is vaak bijvangst van stoom of museummaterieel waar ik voor op uit was getrokken. Gelukkig komt het nog wel een enkele keer voor dat ik even tijd heb, maar dat is helaas maar sporadisch.
Door Corona zijn er echter geen evenementen meer. Maar des te meer tijd om zo af en toen eens langs de baan te staan. Ik trokken er dit keer op uit om treinen in de bloembollen te fotograferen. Helaas bleek dat de bollen bij Vogelenzang grotendeels verdwenen waren, op een veldje aan de zon kant na. Op Hemelvaartsdag 's ochtends vroeg met mijn oudste zoon eropuit getrokken om bij het bekende voormalige overwegwachtershuisje post te vatten en diverse soorten materieel vast te leggen.
As a full-time father and husband I hardly make pictures of regular trains. Almost only when the SSN or VSM has one of their rare main line trips, I am able to catch some regular trains too. So what I catch with my camera of the NS (or other companies) trains is often a side catch of steam or museum material passing by. Fortunately I do find occasionally some time to make pictures.
However, there are no more events due to Corona. But all the more time to stand along the raiway lines every now and then. I went out this time to photograph trains with some flower bulbs. Unfortunately, it turned out that the bulbs near Vogelenzang had lagely disappeared, except for this small patch. On Ascension Day I went out early in the morning. I took up post at the well-known former level crossing guard's house and to capture various types of trains.

Cette expression née au milieu du XIXe siècle est une référence au domaine maritime où le "grain" était une tempête de vent imprévisible, contre laquelle il fallait être très vigilant. Depuis, on dit que l'on "veille au grain" lorsque l'on se méfie d'un événement qui pourrait nous être préjudiciable.
This expression born in the middle of the nineteenth century is a reference to the maritime domain where the "grain" was an unpredictable wind storm, against which one had to be very vigilant. Since then, it has been said that we "watch out" when we are suspicious of an event that could be harmful to us.

Na afloop van het Plandampf evenement Dampf trifft Kies, zijn mijn vader en ik nog een dagje naar de Harz gegaan om ons daar nog even uit te kunnen leven.
In eerste instantie richtten we ons op de plekjes waar ik al in geen tijden meer was geweest: het traject tussen Nordhausen en Wernigerode en naar Schierke. Maar halverwege de dag ontdekte ik dat op deze dag, diverse dieselritten met stoom werden gereden. Een bezoekje aan de Selketalbahn was daarom erg aantrekkelijk. Helaas.... het was oktober, dus al vroeg donker. Dat nam echter niet weg dat we nog veel hebben kunnen fotograferen op Alexisbad en Gernrode.
After the Plandampf event Dampf trifft Kies, my father and I went to the Harz for a day to indulge ourselves with steam.
At first we focused on the places we had not been in ages: the stretch between Nordhausen and Wernigerode and to Schierke. But halfway through the day I discovered that on this day, several diesel rides were done with steam. A visit to the Selketalbahn was therefore very attractive. Unfortunately .... it was October, so dark early. However, that did not alter the fact that we were able to photograph a lot at Alexisbad and Gernrode.
Nach dem Plandampf Veranstaltung Dampf trifft Kies gingen mein Vater und ich für einen Tag in den Harz, um uns zu verwöhnen.
Zuerst konzentrierten wir uns auf die Stellen, an denen wir seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr gewesen war: die Strecke zwischen Nordhausen und Wernigerode und nach Schierke. Aber Mitte des Tages stellte ich fest, dass an diesem Tag mehrere Dieselfahrten mit Dampf durchgeführt wurden. Ein Besuch der Selketalbahn war daher sehr attraktiv. Leider ... es war Oktober, so früh dunkel. Das änderte jedoch nichts an der Tatsache, dass wir in Alexisbad und Gernrode noch viel fotografieren konnten.

Wat ik aan NS (of andere maatschappijen) materieel fotografeer is vaak bijvangst van stoom of museummaterieel waar ik voor op uit was getrokken. Gelukkig komt het nog wel een enkele keer voor dat ik even tijd heb, maar dat is helaas maar sporadisch. Dit keer waren we op vakantie in Duitsland waar we een dagtripje naar Bonn maakten. Natuurlijk ook nog even het station bezocht.

Fortunately, it still happens occasionally that I have some time, but unfortunately that is only sporadically. This time we were on holiday in Germany where we made a day trip to Bonn. Of course we also visited the station.
Als Vollzeitvater und Ehemann verbringe ich, abgesehen von den gelegentlichen Hauptstreckenfahrten der SSN oder VSM und den Veranstaltungen, kaum noch Zeit am Streckenrand. Was ich an NS-Züge (oder anderen Firmen) fotografiere, ist oft Beifang von Dampf- oder Museumsgeräten, die ich gekauft habe. Glücklicherweise kommt es immer noch gelegentlich vor, dass ich etwas Zeit habe, aber das ist leider nur sporadisch der Fall. Dieses Mal machten wir Urlaub in Deutschland und machten einen Tagesausflug nach Bonn. Natürlich haben wir auch den Bahnhof besichtigt.
Elk jaar organiseert de Stoomtrein Goes Borsele (SGB) het evenement Sporen naar het Verleden. Dan komen er diverse stoom- en diesellocomotieven of treinen in actie. Dit jaar waren dat de SHM 5 ' Enkhuizen', de SHD 2205, de CREW 2454 Plan U stel 151, de SSN 23 023 en de eigen locs SGB 22 'Otter' en 264 'Sik'. Daarnaast stonden op het depot in Goes de SGB omC 910 en omC 909, CREW 2454 C9002 'Jaap', SHD 302282 'Anneke' en SHD Plan D 60 84 978 1 005-1 Meetrijtuig CTO ter bezichtiging. Genoeg te zien dus. Het was schitterend weer en we hebben ons dus weer prima vermaakt.

This year these were the SHM 5 'Enkhuizen', the SHD 2205, the CREW 2454 Plan U set 151, the SSN 23 023 and their own locomotives SGB 22 'Otter' and 264 'Sik'. In addition, at the depot in Goes were the SGB omC 910 and omC 909, CREW 2454 C9002 'Jaap', SHD 302282 'Anneke' and SHD Plan D 60 84 978 1 005-1 Measuring carriage CTO on display. So plenty to see. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time again.
Jedes Jahr organisiert der Stoomtrein Goes Borsele (SGB) die Veranstaltung Spuren in die Vergangenheit. Dann kommen verschiedene Dampf- und Diesellokomotiven bzw. Züge zum Einsatz. In diesem Jahr waren dies die SHM 5 „Enkhuizen“, die SHD 2205, die CREW 2454 Plan U Set 151, die SSN 23 023 und unsere eigenen Lokomotiven SGB 22 „Otter“ und 264 „Sik“. Darüber hinaus standen die SGB omC 910 und omC 909, CREW 2454 C9002 „Jaap“, SHD 302282 „Anneke“ und SHD Plan D 60 84 978 1 005-1 Messwagen CTO im Depot in Goes zur Besichtigung bereit. Es gibt also viel zu sehen. Das Wetter war wunderschön und wir hatten wieder eine tolle Zeit.
In the Netherlands the 1st of January is traditionally celebrated with a new year’s dive (Nieuwjaarsduik). No matter how cold it is, at least 25.000 people plunge into the freezing water each January.
There are over 60 locations in the Netherlands where you can jump into the sea or a lake. The largest dive is held at the beach of Scheveningen, where well over 10.000 people plunge into the sea each year.
The tradition started in 1960 when a swim club decided to start the year fresh with a plunge in the sea. The new year’s dive received national attention after a big soup brand decided to sponsor it. From that moment on, the amount of participants and locations has increased every year.

Het nieuwe jaar is natuurlijk niet compleet zonder de traditionele Nieuwjaarsduik.
De Nieuwjaarsduik in Scheveningen begon in 1965 op initiatief van Jan van Scheijndel, de ex-Kanaalzwemmer van de Zwemclub Residentie. De duik werd toen door zeven deelnemers genomen. In de loop van de tijd groeide de nieuwjaarsduik van enkele excentrieke fanatiekelingen tot een massaal evenement.
Ook voor de niet dappere dodo's is het een perfect dagje uit in Scheveningen, want het is en blijft een prachtig schouwspel om al die bibberende mensen te zien.
