HMCS Vancouver is deployed on Op PROJECTION Indo-Asia Pacific, a three month patrol in the Indo-Asia Pacific Region. During this deployment, Vancouver will visit Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and Fiji, demonstrating the Royal Canadian Navy’s operational capabilities and flexibility to contribute to a range of requirements: support to international missions, strengthening relationships with allies and partners, and responding to humanitarian or security related incidents in the region if required. The mission also demonstrates the Canadian Armed Forces’ ability to project naval influence and support Government of Canada objectives in this region. Canada is a Pacific nation and Op PROJECTION Indo-Asia Pacific is another example of Canada’s commitment to supporting stability in the Asia Pacific region.

Taken at a distance, this purely counts as a record shot showing the continued existence of Dassault Mirage IIIB c/n 207 which has been displayed ‘on-base’ since at least 1996.

Behind is the Armée de l'Air’s sole VIP Airbus A330 which is c/n 240, has the military callsign F-RARF and is operated by ET01.060.
