Matthew was student of the week last week, which isn't an award or anything, but is a way for the class to get to know more about him. He had little projects to do all week, poster about himself, photo album page, etc. One of the tasks was to fill this container with items so the rest of the class could guess how many there were. In this case, they got to eat them afterward, too. We have a lot of satsuma tangerines still on the tree, so this was one way to get rid of them. So, how many are there?

The city's archaic acropolis, already an easily defensible position due to its geomorphology, was further heavily fortified during the Byzantine Empire as it became the seat of the strategos of the thema of Hellas and later of the Peloponnese. It was defended against the Crusaders for three years by Leo Sgouros.
"Afterwards it became a fortress of the Frankish Principality of Achaea, the Venetians and the Ottoman Turks. With its secure water supply, Acrocorinth's fortress was used as the last line of defence in southern Greece because it commanded the Isthmus of Corinth, repelling foes from entry into the Peloponnese peninsula. Three circuit walls formed the man-made defence of the hill. The highest peak on the site was home to a temple to Aphrodite which was converted to a church, and then became a mosque. The American School's Corinth Excavations began excavations on it in 1929. Currently, Acrocorinth is one of the most important medieval castle sites of Greece.

This is my estimation of where the property lines are. I think the right hand "point" should actually be a little farther into the woods, but not too much.
I drew my rough sketch of Cheyenne Nauta by pure estimation. To check how good my feeling of proportions was, I used the original scan, made it 50 % transparent and lay it on top of the rough sketch.
Apart from the angle of the legs (and hence how the the skirt was drawn), and some other things, the rough was really spot on. I guess I need 100 hours of sketching before I'll get the whole rough sketch so that both proportions and perspective are correct. At four hours per day, that should take me a month or so.
