Troglodyte mignon (Troglodytes troglodytes), Neuchâtel, Suisse.
Son nid en forme de boule est souvent dissimulé dans une souche, ce qui lui a valu son nom de troglodyte. Les forêts au sous-bois dense et riches en bois mort constituent son habitat de prédilection. Au printemps, le mâle troglodyte bâtit plusieurs nids grossiers et avec son chant très sonore il essaye d'attirer une compagne. Quand une femelle vient, elle examine les nids, si l'un d'eux lui convient, elle accepte l'accouplement. Ensuite, elle va garnir le nid avec de la mousse, des poils et des plumes et y déposer 5 à 7 œufs. Pendant que la femelle est ainsi occupée, le mâle essaye de séduire une autre femelle. Dans un environnement favorable, on a déjà observé des accouplements d'un mâle avec 4 à 5 femelles différentes!

God and Democracy / In democracy, anything is possible—including
God / Between heresy and democratic principles: From the standpoint of dogma and traditional faith, this idea is pure heresy. It equates the Divine with the political order and suggests that God became possible solely because the social system "permitted" this. In dogma, God is the standard and the source of everything, not an object of democratic election or voting. However, from the perspective of political philosophy, this statement under the heading is radically democratic. Democracy, in its theoretical ideal, strives to eliminate any pre-existing hierarchy. Within it, there are no immutable values nor eternal truths; everything is subject to re-examination—even the very concept of divinity. If in democracy everything is possible, then faith in God becomes a matter of personal freedom rather than state coercion.
The Wring of Ideas: The Paradox of Unconditional Faith – The genuine danger revealed by this notion lies within the phenomenon of the wring of ideas. Humanity is a being that struggles to bear the void of absolute freedom. From this existential fear arises the need for unconditional faith in "Whatever" —whether it be God, the Nation, Democracy, the World Leader, or Science. When an idea ceases to be the object of critical scrutiny and becomes the subject of unconditional faith, it transforms into a chain. Clinical psychology recognizes this as a defense mechanism: by submitting one's own will to the Absolute (any Idea), the individual liberates oneself from the burden of personal responsibility. The relationship becomes Hegelian—in this framework, the Idea becomes the Lord, and the human being becomes its voluntary Servant.
Why is it that in a democracy "anything is possible"? The paradox of modern democracy lies in the fact that, by permitting everything, it often ends up multiplying new forms of servitude. When traditional gods cease to be the sole rulers, the market and social order swiftly give rise to secular alternatives. The person who believes they are free because "anything is possible" is, in reality, constantly seeking a new framework within which to confine their loneliness.
Ultimately, unconditional belief in any idea is a voluntary admission into an inner prison. The greatest truth of democracy does not lie in the notion that "anything is possible—even God," but in the fact that it leaves the individual entirely alone before his own choice—whether he will walk out of the cave under the sunlight or instead forge his own chains and choose his new, comfortable utopia to serve without reservation.

NS 1700 leads Conrail OI-16 off NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line and onto the Amboy Secondary at ESSAY in South Amboy. ESSAY Tower may soon be torn down with the construction of the new Raritan Bay Draw Bridge.
Qu'est ce qu'elle m'a donné du fil à retordre celle là ! Il plus d'un an que je ne m'étais pas essayé sur des traînées d'étoiles, et ben ca m'avait manqué ! Surtout quand on passe d'un Sony avec son algo de "star eater" à un Canon avec des Raws brut de décoffrage 😍.

Durant notre road trip en Suisse, le canton de Zoug était un incontournable. Les paysages sont si doux, si verts et si vallonnés. Les photos d'astros ici y sont rares car les spots connus sont mal orientés par rapport au centre galactique. Mais c'est pas grave, en se creusant un peu les méninges, il y'a pleins d'autres choses à faire avec un ciel étoilé !

🌲 En jouant avec la distance et la focale, je voulais isoler cet arbre au sommet d'une colline. Rien de mieux que mon 135mm pour cela. Je décide d'y faire un "Star trail" car la circumpolaire n'est pas possible avec cette focale et cette orientation.

Exploration of the present day human condition and behavior as reflected in the lifeless world of mannequins and store windows. As beautiful as it seems from a visual perspective, there is an ever-present reminder of the lack of emotions, and an almost surrealistic belief of happiness and pleasure derived from the material world. Trapped in a well-conceived, visually stimulating box, these mannequins exude spiritual bliss, presenting a paradoxical interpretation of reality.
I'm still making my images using an old and simple 2009 version of photo manager software produced by ACDSee. And during the last two decades I've used it to produce 37,538 original image variations, only 4589 of which appear on Flickr - the rest sit on my hard-drive and now serve as an almost endless source of raw material for new abstracts. Not sure what to do about using AI to produce artwork. This old guy may just continue to use his 2009 copy of ACDSee. Cheers. H
Candide depuis quelques années avec des photos qui me semblent aujourd'hui si dérisoires, me sentant complètement incapable de traiter un tel sujet ... je vais essayer avec cette série de transcrire ce que j'aurais donc oser capter durant notre marche de rassemblement.sur Dieppe ce dimanche matin glacial mais si bien réchauffé par une foule si attachante, calme, debout et décidée à démontrer son refus à toutes pensées autoritaire, fanatique et meurtrière.
Entre une peine énorme et paradoxalement une joie indescriptible à être un homme parmi d'autres hommes défendant ce que nous avons de plus précieux : notre liberté de ... penser par soi même !
et notre soif d'autoriser toutes dérisions.

Candide recent years with pictures that seem now so ridiculous, feeling completely unable to handle such a subject ... I'll try with this series to transcribe what I have so daring capture during our gathering on. Dieppe Sunday frosty morning but warmed by so many endearing, quiet, upright and determined to demonstrate his refusal to all authoritarian thoughts, fanatical and murderous.
Between a huge pain and paradoxically indescribable joy to be a man among other men defending what we most precious our freedom to think for yourself ...!
and our thirst to allow all derision.

This image shows Glasgow's weather in characteristic form to complete my west coast photo essay. As with the first of these images ( flic.kr/p/2qBbvJc ), this shot captures the essence of this station for me: in Glasgow’s case, busy, populated with exotic trains (from the perspective of a Sassenach), and raining!
The date is Wednesday, 28th March 1984 and an APT set waits to head south on what is likely to be the 0900 relief to Euston. The crowd of gentlemen striding towards the ticket barriers, many of who are lacking in appropriate outdoor attire, are presumably not railway enthusiasts given their lack of interest in the future of travel nor the distinctly Scottish class 27 to the left of the frame.
Unlike London Euston, Glasgow Central still has the grandeur and heritage of the Victorian era. While Euston’s period pieces were swept away in the white heat of 1960s progress, Glasgow Central has been sympathetically restored and, despite the rain, feels like a hospitable station appropriate for a great city.
Glasgow Central was not the original station for the west coast route in the city. The Caledonian Railway originally used the Townhead terminus, 1.5 miles to the northeast, then in November 1849, the new station of Buchanan Street was used. Growth led to the opening of Glasgow Central in 1879, immediately north of the river Clyde that the railway follows for the last 45 miles of its journey from London.
I trust that those that have followed my photo essay have enjoyed the ride. The west coast route is so varied and so long that it has been very easy to find disparate images from my collection. Selecting images for this essay has been challenging: I have been shooting trains on the route since the 1980s, and in the 21st century I still manage perhaps 30-40 images of the line every year. Furthermore, since I started collecting other photographer's images, it seems that the line was popular for others too!

it has been over 30 years since I had to write an academic essay, to say it's not going well might be an understatement.
SHUT UP!
So for my photojournalism song essay, I did Shoes by Kelly, yeah the Youtube video. I'll be uploading more of the pictures I took for it later this week but here's my favorite for now. I think those are all of my Converse, I might have missed some though. Its hard to keep track of all of them.
