Two first year deer from different families getting to know each other. I so enjoy observing their behavior throughout the seasons.

The American Eskimo Dog combines striking good looks with a quick and clever mind in a total brains-and-beauty package. Neither shy nor aggressive, Eskies are always alert and friendly, though a bit conservative when making new friends. The American Eskimo Dog comes in three sizes'¿standard, miniature, and toy.

The Eskimo Nebula (NGC 2392), also known as the Clownface Nebula[3] or Caldwell 39, is a bipolar[4] double-shell[5] planetary nebula (PN).

It is tiny! I had to work hard to get some detail drawn out of my files for this one. It is smaller than the thickness of a greeting card held at arms length!! (about 1 arcminute across)

It was discovered by astronomer William Herschel in 1787. The formation resembles a person's head surrounded by a parka hood. It is surrounded by gas that composed the outer layers of a Sun-like star. The visible inner filaments are ejected by a strong wind of particles from the central star. The outer disk contains unusual light-year-long filaments.

The Eskimo potato is a type of edible plant that grows in the northern areas of Canada and Alaska. It can be used in the state's famous Alaskan potato and egg breakfast tacos. Due to its nutritional qualities, the Eskimo potato is one of many edible foods listed in survival guides, such as the US Army's field manual on Survival.

Just kidding, she is Japanese

For the Smile on Saturday" theme; "gloves".

I love my handmade Eskimo gloves. Not only are they beautiful, but extremely warm in bitter cold weather.

Hedysarum alpinum roots can be eaten, raw or cooked. The roots taste much like young carrots.

Today Aaron got reacquainted with natural light!! We did an hour trek up a huge hill with all his lighting equipment, plus picnic and heels - and in the end didn't even use the lighting setup! So we wrecked our backs for nothing, but it was still super fun!

Much better viewed like this!

Today has just been fantastic - we took this photo and others late afternoon and came home and had some dinner. Then we decided (at 11pm) to go and hunt for something sweet to eat. The streets were dead, completely empty and completely silent - so we decided to sing disney songs as loud as we could. Every shop was shut except a takeaway called Cuchinis, but when we asked if they had anything sweet they couldn't help us. Then one guy piped up and offered us the vanilla slices he had bought earlier in the day for his girlfriend - it was so so so sweet of him!! Naturally we bought them, though I have to say it did feel as though we'd mugged someone else of their happiness!!!!!

The weather was nicer today (for a while anyway), so I took her outside to try and get some better photos :) It was so windy and I was so scared she'd fall over!

I finally named her!! I've called her Abeni.

"Abeni means "we asked for her, and behold, we got her" in Yoruba."

I think it's perfect!
