Those not familiar with Frankfurt might be surprised that the young woman in front is far older than everything around her with the exception of the other people in the background.
Frankfurt decided to reconstruct its historical old town and the project was finished in 2018.
From the Monbijoustrasse. Escooters are everywhere. I keep making these panningshots and I still love them.
… climate, hills, suspension bridge, trams … Lisbon and San Francisco now have another feature in common :-)

St. Peter’s Square, Manchester, England; on the hottest day of the year so far……
Fast food delivery guys have now started using a different mode of transport here in Manchester; the ‘e-Scooter’. The 'e-Scooter' is a firm favourite with the Government, along with cycles and walking throughout the City Centres; during this unprecedented period of Coronavirus. New laws are in the making as to whether a helmet has to be worn or even if insurance if required, I’m sure both will become mandatory. Who knows, maybe even an MOT further down the line. From the look of this scooter the cost is around £440; way back in 1959 you could buy a Morris Mini-Minor car for £500; where do they get their prices from……lol. I wonder how many of these will get stolen?
The young lady was one of many people riding around the city on an e-scooter. It seems they can be picked up by anyone and then just left - anywhere!

On this day July 6 2021 it feels like 40C outside you would think we need to cut out carbon emissions because well they have gotten out of control. One way to do that is going electric. Below is a story from BlogTo on why E-Scooters were banned in Toronto: www.blogto.com/tech/2021/05/toronto-bans-electric-scooters/
Rental EScooters that are part of the official Department for Transport trials and are permitted on roads, cycle lanes and cycle tracks in trial areas only, they are not permitted for use on pedestrian pathways.
Somerset West and Taunton have appointed Zipp Mobility to manage the scheme on our behalf and we went live in Taunton on 30 October 2020 and in Minehead on 5 June 2021, both schemes will run until 31 May 2024.
In order to use one of the rental EScooters you must be aged 16 years or older with a provisional or full driving licence. You will need to download the Zipp App and register for an account, part of this process will include a licence check validation to confirm your eligibility to ride an EScooter.
Three e-scooters spotted on my walk to work at Nottingham, end of November 2021. You can hire these via an app, if you are able to find your old hard-copy driving licence to upload a copy. You can probably guess that I've not seen mine for years. Bus was included in shot as it links with the "transport" theme, a snap decision at the time. Photo taken just outside the Dunkirk post office.
