It should be a crime to look that good in the saddle.
Good balance is key but unfortunately it didn't get her the time she needed to win.
18th February 2018 - Bulk Carrier 'Strategic Equity' fresh into the Seaforth Grain Terminal after her month long run from Argentina. Its quite intimidating to see what the Atlantic can do to a 4 year old ship...
Excerpt from waterdownvillage.ca/chairing_is_caring/:
Chairing is Caring is an exciting downtown art project celebrating local artists and telling stories of the diverse communities that are part of Waterdown Village. This summer, you’ll find painted Muskoka chairs in outdoor gallery locations at sponsor businesses bringing vibrancy to our streetscape and providing interesting places to sit and relax.
Each chair focuses on a theme as interpreted by the artist and is tied to a non-profit organization that supports an equity-deserving group. Collectively, the series highlights the compassionate and collaborative soul of our Village.
"He who seeks equity must do equity."

The one online source of traffic on CN's Three Hills sub is grain, which was one of the original economic drivers back when the line was built. Today the iconic wooden elevators have been phased out and replaced with large metal structures designed to load entire unit trains. One such structure is the Cargill facility near Equity. On the morning of January 26th, southbound M315 passes the elevator and its loading tracks.
CN A442 swings around the large curve at Equity as we have perched ourselves on top of the hill overlooking the area. Today's train was solid intermodal, minus 1 boxcar thrown in for good measure.

This is the Equity Mine Area on the Bachelor Loop Tour above Creede, Colorado. I don't have much info on the Equity Mine except that the first record of an Equity load and mill site was recorded in 1902. Between 1903 and 1912 most of the surface and underground work was completed. The first recorded production was in 1912 and production continued off and on until almost 1970.
If you look toward the top of the mountain you can see the mining tailings.

To achieve cultural equity between the Northern and the Southern regions of Taiwan, and to drive the cultural, educational, social, and economic development in both regions, the Executive Yuan approved the building Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum(hereafter referred to as the "Southern Branch Museum") at Taibao City, Chiayi County on Dec. 31, 2004, setting the Southern Branch Museum as an "Asian Arts and Culture Museum." The Southern Branch Museum, originally scheduled for completion in 2008, was later postponed as a result of contractual disputes as well as the Typhoon Morakot, which created a flooding that measured 10.3 meters tall in the foundation. On Oct. 22, 2010, the project revision plan was completed and the building of the Southern Branch Museum was reinitiated. Regarding the construction of the Southern Branch Museum (i.e., the hardware component), related operations have been commissioned to the Construction and Planning Agency; while the curating of exhibitions (i.e., the software component) will be organized by the Southern Branch Museum. The Southern Branch Museum will feature main exhibitions that display artifacts from NPM's rich collection of artifacts while supplementing them with international loan exhibitions.
The Southern Branch Museum will actively plan a variety of awe-inspiring exhibitions to fulfill its duty as a museum for artifact collection, research, conservation, education, and exhibition as well as to introduce artifact-derived leisure and recreational activities, and engage in cultural and creative operations. In 2010, the second project revision plan was proposed, increasing the software construction budget to NT$834 million, for the acquisition of Asian artifacts and books. The entire construction budget totalled to NT$7.934 billion and the Southern Branch Museum open for trial operation on Dec. 28, 2015.

I think more than a hobby, home improvement is a necessity. It is also a way to somehow get back in touch with my architecture background (my undergrad degree). It is also a way to have my mind on something else. Since I bough my house a couple years ago I’ve completed a lot of projects such as maintenance free deck, a pavers patio, changed all the floors to real hardwood, among many others. Today I was working on my latest one. Another smaller pavers patio for my daughters’ toy house + a redesign of my backyard landscape to facilitate the flow when I am mowing the lawn. My back is killing me now… I guess I am not 20 anymore!!! Lol… anyway, this shot is part of my pre-planning drawing that I did to get prices and materials quantities. I always plan, draw and “implement” my projects on paper before actually executing them to make sure I stay on budget and have all I need before starting.
BTW, this is an old (vintage) measuring wood tape that belonged to my father. This is probably over 50 years old.
