18th February 2018 - Bulk Carrier 'Strategic Equity' fresh into the Seaforth Grain Terminal after her month long run from Argentina. Its quite intimidating to see what the Atlantic can do to a 4 year old ship...

The one online source of traffic on CN's Three Hills sub is grain, which was one of the original economic drivers back when the line was built. Today the iconic wooden elevators have been phased out and replaced with large metal structures designed to load entire unit trains. One such structure is the Cargill facility near Equity. On the morning of January 26th, southbound M315 passes the elevator and its loading tracks.
FAILED PICTURES - this one shows that I hadn't quite rolled the film along far enough to avoid the exposed film section!!! There is also some mysterious damage to the surface of the transparency.
Ex London Transport RT2300 (KGU 329) is seen here all dressed up in Silver Jubilee livery in the summer of 1977. The bus was being operated on behalf of the Honourable Equity London Pearlys as the Pearly Appeal Bus, and is seen parked up next to a couple of LT RTs and apparently MBS221 which I believe was already withdrawn? Sadly, by 1980, the silver RT had ended up at Wombwell scrapyard in South Yorkshire.
Failed Pictures! Slides for the Record - and one of my earliest Kodachrome slides, taken with a primitive borrowed 35mm camera that I was using in 1977-78, before I graduated to my first Zenith SLR camera in Jan 1979 :) From a box of 'dud' slides that I never could quite bring myself to throw away!

CN A442 passes the Cargill elevator at Equity which is just north of Three Hills. The forecast was for sunny skies, but we got a partial overcast day instead.

M32 Word Match Racing entrant, Equity & Super in action of the coast of Fremantle in March 2016.
CN A442 completes one of two 90 degree curves near the Highway 21 overpass between Trochu and Three Hills. Theoretically the canola field on the left should be a vibrant yellow, but it isn't. For some farmers like this one, the crop yield for canola in 2020 isn't looking as though it's going to break any records...
This is the Equity Mine Area on the Bachelor Loop Tour above Creede, Colorado. I don't have much info on the Equity Mine except that the first record of an Equity load and mill site was recorded in 1902. Between 1903 and 1912 most of the surface and underground work was completed. The first recorded production was in 1912 and production continued off and on until almost 1970.
If you look toward the top of the mountain you can see the mining tailings.

I think more than a hobby, home improvement is a necessity. It is also a way to somehow get back in touch with my architecture background (my undergrad degree). It is also a way to have my mind on something else. Since I bough my house a couple years ago I’ve completed a lot of projects such as maintenance free deck, a pavers patio, changed all the floors to real hardwood, among many others. Today I was working on my latest one. Another smaller pavers patio for my daughters’ toy house + a redesign of my backyard landscape to facilitate the flow when I am mowing the lawn. My back is killing me now… I guess I am not 20 anymore!!! Lol… anyway, this shot is part of my pre-planning drawing that I did to get prices and materials quantities. I always plan, draw and “implement” my projects on paper before actually executing them to make sure I stay on budget and have all I need before starting.
BTW, this is an old (vintage) measuring wood tape that belonged to my father. This is probably over 50 years old.
