Just about a year ago great friend Mark and I had the fortune to witness an epic dawn sky that was easily the best of the year.
I've spent an entire year waiting for one to come my way again, but it's not been that sort of year, so here's another one from that morning of many.

Amazing storm clouds at Melbourne, Derbyshire at sunset this evening, within minutes I was being hailed and sleeted on and then within another 5 minutes it was clear again...awesome weather

"Chandrabhaga Roars Beneath the Clouds"
Billowing clouds roll in like ancient giants, cloaking the horizon in shades of charcoal and silver. The wind howls across the shore, stirring up foamy waves that crash relentlessly onto the golden sands. Every gust and surge feels like nature's own heartbeat — wild, untamed, and alive. In this moment, Chandrabhaga doesn’t whisper tranquility — it roars with power, majesty, and raw coastal emotion

It is the component of tension and uncertainty which excites me everytime again, when I go out with the camera. Not seldom I find myself in a world full of miracles. Mostly unexpected and always unique.

The Veil Nebula is a cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus, at about 2400 light years from us.
It constitutes the visible portions of the Cygnus Loop,a supernova remnant, many portions of which have acquired their own individual names and catalogue identifiers. In modern usage, the names Veil Nebula, Cirrus Nebula, and Filamentary Nebula generally refer to all the visible structure of the remnant, or even to the entire loop itself. The structure is so large that several NGC numbers were assigned to various arcs of the nebula. There are three main visual components: 1. The Western Veil (also known as Caldwell 34), consisting of NGC 6960 (the "Witch's Broom", Lacework Nebula, "Filamentary Nebula"; 2. The Eastern Veil (also known as Caldwell 33), whose brightest area is NGC 6992, trailing off farther south into NGC 6995 (together with NGC 6992 also known as "Network Nebula"; 3. Pickering's Triangle (or Pickering's Triangular Wisp), brightest at the north central edge of the loop, but visible in photographs continuing toward the central area of the loop.
The source supernova was a star 20 times more massive than the Sun which exploded between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago. At the time of the explosion, the supernova would have appeared brighter than Venus in the sky, and visible in the daytime. The remnants have since expanded to cover an area of the sky roughly 36 times the area of the full Moon.

Tornado captured 5 miles North of Vernon, Texas earlier this month. I decided to chase off of the dryline away from the convergence up north. Spun up quickly as I was sitting there watching. Lucky day.

Love it when you are out for a walk and you see clouds like this. A super quick walk back home to grab the camera.
Wow! I'm up to 3 weeks in a row of posting here! I'm on a roll!
Early on when I first started photography some 10 years ago, all I ever wanted was “epic” light. The light was more important than the subject or compositions. What I realized over the years is, it’s all relative. Everyone thinks the light they see is epic....but in reality it really isn’t. As much as I get out, I rarely if ever see epic light. In fact most of the time I see epic light I’m working, or doing daddy day care duties. Today, I’m sharing an image where in fact, the light was indeed “epic”. Definitely in my top 5 displays of light that I’ve seen and captured. My buddy Paul Rojas and I were treated to a complete 360 degrees of incredible light. You could point your camera in any direction and capture great light. Rainbows 🌈, skies full of color and virga, you pretty much name it we had it! Only thing we didn’t have was a flying unicorn . It was pretty spectacular. Lots more to the story but I’ll save that for another day😊
