Schloss Brake near Lemgo is a castle built in the style of the Weserrenaissance. We used the second advent weekend for a visit to attend an interesting exhibition about historic maps and navigation.

Foggy church

My first sighting, and one of the first attempts of capturing the breathtakingly spectacular natural phenomenon of Aurora Borealis.

Took this picture in Northern Alaska, approximately 70 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Drove on Dalton Highway, one of the lonliest roads in the world, in frigid temperatures to get here. The weather was supposed to be cloudy and I was worried I wouldn't be able to see the Northern Lights; but the skies cleared up and boy, did she dance that night!

Can't wait to go back again, hoping to catch a few more glimpses of the gorgeous lady!
