The unusual growth of these two Sitka Spruce branches made the perfect base for these ferns.

The majestic fountain and graceful swan boats make Lake Eola an exceptional amenity to the area.
During one of my frequent pre-COVID business trips to suburban Chicago, and before meeting a colleague for dinner, I had a little time to kill, so I took a side trip to BNSF’s yard in Eola, Illinois. I saw what I thought was a pair of leasers working on the south side of the yard, but then I noticed the BNSF swoosh on the nose. It was a so-called “smurf”, one of a few units to be patched this way.

In times of need, the watchtowers of Eolas are manned to protect and give spirit to the nearby villages.
I was having a look down my stream and I realized I had only made one round tower. So feeling that it was compulsory to have a go at another I came up with this. I think the result was much better than I had planned and the landscape was a bit of an experiment but I am really happy with the end look. Flowers and vines make things look pretty :p
Hope you enjoy and C&C needed.

Standing near the old Eola Road grade crossing, I was able to catch these two units building a train in Eola yard as the sun set. Had to use every millimeter of my zoom, but it was worth it.
