Now if only he could remember the tune...
I couldn't get the squirrel in this shot (yet) but Mr. Blue obliged ;-).. I am only seeing the squirrels between 6 and 8 AM these days so I am usually not ready with any "props" to get the shots I am wanting for the squirrel book I am working on...
On Sunday Charlie and Leo returned to their own home, Their visit was an exciting time for Tofu and now that they have left he doesn't really know what to do with himself. He will soon return to is normal routine but in the meantime I do my best to entertain him.
Sorry if I don't comment on all your photos this week, I probably won't have much time for Flickr.

This is an image I likely wouldn't have posted, but after an interesting conversation with Flickr friend Flaushi & Friends on a swan she captured out on the ocean, I decided to share.
I had heard there was an owl at the lake not too far from work, so I decided to take a second trip (first trip was unsuccessful) after my shift to look for her. My daughter and faithful Border Collie, Bandit came along on the adventure.
After looking for a short time I spotted her out on the docks and walked around the shore trying to find a half decent angle to photograph her. In the meantime, a pair of mute swans swam over to see if we had brought them any goodies. I ignored them at first, since the owl had my full attention, but one of the two was quite persistent. He (or she) came right up to shore, stood up tall and was almost beak to nose with Bandit. Bandit was quite entertained and went into his usual OCD dance bouncing up and down on his hind legs and licking the ice at his feet. The swan wasn't at all phased and stretched out his long neck with an expectant look on his face. When he finally decided I had nothing for him, he swiftly ruffled his feathers and turned away from me. This was captured as he swam away glancing back with a look of disgust at my insensitivity for showing up empty handed.
to say bye to my boredom.

One of the most fascinating aspects of meteorology is its interaction with landforms and geography in general.
A given flow, a given front, a given Low (pression) do not live on their own, but in the interaction they have with the earth's surface, loading themselves with moisture as they cross oceans, seas and large lakes and releasing it when they encounter barriers such as mountain ranges.
The mountain ranges create thermal contrasts and accumulate clouds on the windward slopes (stau), greatly increasing the rainfall on these slopes and limiting it (possible Foehn) on the leeward ones.
The higher and longer the chain, the more these phenomena are exacerbated.
Meteorology, in the interaction of tropospheric dynamics with the earth's surface, generates microclimates, i.e. particular and recurring meteorological trends over small areas which are markedly different (in rain-thermal terms) from the trend that should occur within the climatic belt to which the small area belongs and which differs from the others, even contiguous ones, according to the variations brought about by the orographic variables.
Meteorology is much, much more than the (complex and fascinating) weather forecasts, which "today" are computerized by powerful calculators which, starting from data taken in real time from weather stations all over the planet, issue a series of short and medium term projections on how the meteorological situation will evolve subsequently.
The Least Fascinating Woman in SL entertains a guest in Post-apocalypse - blithers for hours about the socio-economic reasons for Brexit and the current rise of the Alt-Right in USA....and the guest does not die of boredom. She IS the Least Fascinating Woman in SL...

I photographed this Northern plains gray langur at Corbett national park.
We parked up and let them entertain us for about 30 minutes, and laughed a lot.

Taken out at Dundas Square one evening. My attention was originally drawn to the street performer in black pants and red vest....the crowd seemed entertained.......I was trying to focus on what this guy was doing when Madame walked by me and decided to stand directly in front of moi....so I said to myself....well lets take a shot !...and voila here it is !!!!!
He brought so much joy and laughter to the children in all of us as he entertained us in the streets of Guanajuato, Gto Mexico....Feliz Navidad amigo mio!
Up in the crevasses of the Guadalupe mountains of far west Texas, there is a beautiful spring where plants, birds, and other wildlife gather to celebrate life.
In mid-March - late winter for this area - the trees hadn't leafed out yet which left this most interesting specimen fairly naked to the visitors' gaze. The intricate designs in the trunk and roots were just too interesting to pass up. The whole scene has a bit of fairy tale to it.
A juvenile humpback whale entertains our small boatload of photographers as he breaches several times near us. What an amazing sight to see! He is probably 6 years old, and has been seen near Avila Beach since spring. He even has a name: "Barney".
Seun means son in Afrikaans and this young male hippo played his supporting role with Jessica very well.
He too is a rescue hippo but, because he is so much younger than Jessica, is still happy to entertain tourists and almost opens his mouth on command.
He is also wild and can move up and down the river as he desires but is so much more vulnerable because he is male and as a result spends much of his time close to home.

Bubble car "Iris" approaching Nunckley Hill Station on the Mountsorrel branch off the Great Central Railway with a service for Leicester North. I was blessed with a brief sunny period while the train passed, and we were entertained while we waited, by a volunteer at the Heritage Site who outlined the achievements and future developments in hand.
Sounds promising, so will be returning with grandchildren in warmer weather
Though Willa is only 4 inches tall, she is a wonderful ballerina! She came here during Christmas with a ballet troupe to entertain us and has decided to stay! I have it on some authority that some of her fellow ballerinas may "defect" and come here, too!
Welcome, little Willa! and Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday, Everybody and Everybear!
Although we see feeding behavior in the nest we have yet to see the chicks. They are coming up on two weeks old so I hope to see their heads above the nest soon. In the meantime we are entertained by the adults flying in and out of the nest with food and flying to the branches near the nest.
This scene is not real. I was just enjoying putting together parts of six different photos I had from Port Townsend’s Wooden Boat Festivals. This was done with photoshop using selections and cut and paste and no use of AI. The Pirate flag came from Wind Spirit which is a boat that entertains the kids.
A wonderful experience following this juvenile girl around the field, she kept us entertained for ages going after grasshoppers
I was waiting for the ferry from Sausalito back to San Francisco and was happy to be entertained by Diamond Dog the dachshund (sausage dog) and her friend. I found the attached on the net and various videos on You Tube -
"You’ll only encounter the soul of Sausalito when you are queuing for the ferry back to the city with the hordes of other cyclists who’ve made the same journey. There you’ll find a busker with his little Dachshund (Diamond) sitting a top his guitar and playing with the help of the dog’s legs. The guy is a character and the little sausage dog slightly aggressive! When I came home I tried to find out who he was. He is Peter Romanowsky who is a Baptist Minister and also had a run for local Marin county politics in the 90′s. Peter busks most afternoons and is worth getting to the ferry terminal early for. "
Was heading for bed and thought I'd keep everybody entertained. This is one of those tiny long legged spiders that seem to make it into every corner of your house. I was amazed when I saw the real thing this morning.
A cup of coffee or a beer, a camera and a chair was all I needed at the Torti Hotel Avicar in Panama. This White-tailed Jacobin kept me entertained for quite a while at the feeders after a nice lunch.

The Marble Saloon in the grandest stateroom at Wentworth Woodhouse and is certainly made to impress. In 1912, King George V and Queen Mary, made a royal visit to the house and the room was used to entertain them with a dance by a Russian ballerina, long believed to be Anna Pavlova, though her identity is now disputed (see the link below). Parts of the mansion have been used as film locations - this room was used as the ballroom for the grand ball at the end of the first Downton Abbey film. It was also used in season five of The Crown (episode 6) where it was shown as the location for the Queen's banquet when she visited Russia.
