VERY SPECIAL ENCOUNTER ! so much that I am showing a second image of the same bird, a first for me ! Gave me so much joy, you have to suffer another. Am about to put together a set of Juvenile birds, as there are so many about.
========================
THANK YOU for your visit and support, apologizes if I have not caught up with you yet., hope your all well, happy clicking, God bless !................Tomx.
On Sunday Charlie and Leo returned to their own home, Their visit was an exciting time for Tofu and now that they have left he doesn't really know what to do with himself. He will soon return to is normal routine but in the meantime I do my best to entertain him.
Sorry if I don't comment on all your photos this week, I probably won't have much time for Flickr.
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Besides the comet, you can see the remains of the osprey nest that has kept us entertained these past few months. It's on the roof of the boathouse. :-)

Filou isn't exactly a poser but he loves to play and as long as you entertain him he doesn't mind if you take photos. It's not easy to wave a toy with one hand to get his attention and to operate the camera with the other.
I add another capture in the comments, low qúality again due to the lack of light but it shows Filou's character pretty well.

Here in hell I am wearing TwoSided Let Me Entertain You Robbie outfit.
The outfit is inspired by Robbie Williams and is rigged for Jake, Legacy and Kario. I wear the Kario Flex version.
The outfit comes with a colour HUD that has 5 colours for the jumpsuit and attached pendant and includes the face mask I am also wearing which is a BOM head tattoo/LelEvoX BOM head tattoo.
Pick the outfit up from the Jail event on the Zen Life Sim from 10th March until 30th March.
Thanks to Cristiano for letting me use the backdrop.
Actually, I was looking for the mating pair of Peregrine Falcons, but the Brown Pelicans did keep doing fly-bys of the seaside cliffs to keep me entertained. This was the only one I got in full breeding color though.

I was recently entertained by this Painted Bunting as he was attempting to get a bath. There were some grackles hanging around the water drip and they didn’t show any interest in going away any time soon and it was so obvious that this colorful guy was intimidated. Just before this photo was taken, he made it to the water for a VERY quick dip before getting chased out. The result was a pretty spectacular fluff-up.

It was so cold yesterday I entertained myself by arranging a meeting between the carrots and the sunflower, as in the sunflower, the one I got last summer after planting a whole packet of seeds. It got along well with the carrots though and warmed me up quite a bit.
A juvenile humpback whale entertains our small boatload of photographers as he breaches several times near us. What an amazing sight to see! He is probably 6 years old, and has been seen near Avila Beach since spring. He even has a name: "Barney".
Louis XIV's magnificent chateau evolved in three major phases. The Sun King first intended Versailles to be a retreat from the responsibilities of government. Between 1661 and 1668, the architect Louis Le Vau (1612–1670), the gardener AndréLeNôtre (1613–1700), and the painter Charles Le Brun (1619–1690) collaborated to create a palace suitable for the Sun King to entertain favoured courtiers. When Louis XIV decided in 1668 that Versailles was to become a royal residence, able to house his full court for months at a time, he ordered extensive additions.
Back in the 1930's,radios like this decaying beauty were the TV sets of the era. News, weather, sports, and entertainment were broadcast over a limited bandwidth and kept people informed and entertained. Direct feedback and "likes" were a little slow but anyone that could afford one of these weren't complaining....
Happy throwback Tuesday all!

Sheffield Park Garden.
Sheffield Park is a landscape garden, situated about five miles from Hayward Heath in East Sussex. Sheffield Park is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Henry VIII was entertained by The 3rd Duke of Norfolk in 1538. The Deer Park had been partially transformed by Lord De La Warr in 1700, the planting of avenues of trees and the laying of lawns did much to change the grounds. The house was restyled in ‘Gothic’, the fashion of the day, by James Wyatt in the late 1700’s with Launcelot ‘Capability’ Brown who landscaped the garden.
Four lakes were dug, these form the original design. In 1796 the estate was sold to John Holroyd, the then Baron Sheffield. The arboretum was blossoming out, consisting of native and exotic specis.
In 1915 Arthur Gilstrap Soames purchased the property he ensured that the planting expanded all over the estate. During the 2nd World War, a Canadian Armoured Division headquartered there.
In 1953 the estate was split up and the lots sold off in auction. In 1954 The National Trust originally bought 40 hectares or 98 acres of land, this has now doubled with subsequent additions. Also in 1954 the Ornamental Gardens were also purchased by the National Trust in 54 who added Walk and Manley Wood to the portfolio.
It is now the home to the National Collection of Ghent Azeleas and has many Acers and Black Tupelos (Blackgum), this is a medium-sized deciduous tree from the coastal Northeast USA.
The views across the lake look stunning on an autumn afternoon, the changes of colour to the leaves, the reflections, the wildlife’ just magic.
The Gothic Country House can been seen from the bottom lakes and is a beautiful piece of architecture in the landscape, it still remains in private hands and is not open to the public. In the early 1990’s the house was purchased by Period Homes and turned into apartments. The Arundel Estate Sussex Ltd, built a housing court in the grounds. Both are managed by the Resident’s Associations.
The other item of note was that the third Earl of Sheffield built a cricket pitch in 1876, 8 years after, it was used for the first cricket match between England and Australia, Australia won by an innings and 6 runs.
Spotted it moving around in the trees above the canal hunting for breakfast. It soon joined a sibling on a branch together. They were very curious of me and certainly entertained me for a bit before flying off. Circle B, Lakeland FL
I found the burst of yucca harrimaniae on a hill near my place. It is so luxurious to be entertained with such a mountain view with just a short hike.
A pair of GEs shove a westbound-to-eastbound train out of the UP Belt Yard and onto home rails at Westminster for a trip across Wisconsin. There will be no stalling to entertain East Hump on this morning.
There was a mist along the seafront which gave an eerie, mysterious atmosphere. As I was composing the image this figure walked into the frame, but I think he gives added interest and scale
The Pier was designed and engineered by Eugenius Birch to attract visitors and survive in the hostile environment of the seashore. Opened in 1866, it was a simple and functional structure built using dozens of cast iron threaded columns screwed into the seabed and strengthened by a lattice of ties and girders that provide the necessary strength to support the promenade deck whilst allowing seas to pass harmlessly through.
Originally the West Pier had an open deck with only six small ornamental houses of oriental design, two toll houses and glass screens at the pier head to protect visitors from the wind and sun. In 1875 a central bandstand was added. In the 1880's weather screens the full length of the pier, steamer landing stages and a large pier head pavilion were constructed.
The final building, completed in 1916, was a graceful concert hall. The result is seaside architecture at its finest, designed to attract and entertain holiday-makers with all the pomp and frippery that is the essence of the English seaside resort. The pier was unique in being largely unaltered since that time, its proportions and style were unrivalled and its concert hall and theatre were two of the best Victorian and Edwardian seaside entertainment buildings.
On 28th March 2003the Pavilion was destroyed in an arson attack, and then on 11th May the Concert Hall, already seriously damaged in a huge storm the previous December, was also deliberately set on fire.
English Heritage was commissioned to report on whether after such damage, the restoration was still viable. It concluded that despite the significant damage, given the wealth of salvaged material from the pier and the considerable photographic and video archive, repair and reconstruction of the pier was still viable. It was therefore bitterly disappointing that at its meeting on 28th January, the Heritage Lottery Fund decided to withdraw its funding of the project.
With the loss of lottery funding the restoration of the West Pier became impossible. Deemed a public hazard, the burnt-out Concert Hall was removed in 2010. The skeletal remains of The Pavilion, however, were left to become a feature of Brighton’s seafront. Its desolate beauty makes it much discussed, wondered about and photographed. The Trust has no intention of removing the remains unless overwhelming safety issues arise. But now beyond repair, they will inevitably degenerate and be reclaimed by nature. However the Trust remains hopeful that, with the success of Brighton i360, in due course a new contemporary West Pier, reflecting the brilliance of the original, will be built.

I have a nice variety of birds in my yard to keep me entertained while staying home to avoid Covid-19 The stay at home order, except for essential travel has been extended until the end of May, Yakima County, Washington. There may be some essential birds that I need to see away from home this week. Will post a few more yard bird photos latter.

Foy’s lake is situated in Chittagong, and has recently been beautified under the governance of a private organization. I made a weeklong trip there to attend an exhibition and to conduct a workshop. During the trip I visited Foy’s lake and spotted this abandoned boat that was once used to entertain the tourists and visitors. It was left alone at one corner of the park and it remains there as a witness to the beauty that it was once part of.
Thanks everyone for viewing and your comments are largely appreciated!!
