May I take this opportunity to wish you all much happiness and good health in 2022, Blwyddyn Newydd Dda, Happy New Year.
This is from last year when the weather was quite different to today, on one of my local walks above Machynlleth, Cymru/Wales.
Hoping that all my flickr friends are doing well as we close this year and my profound thanks for the visits, inspiration and time taken to create such a lovely human presence on flickr....a truly unique place to find one's self still wanting to come back to. I am constantly amazed at the unending creativity and stewardship that you all put forth visually as you share images of your lives and the natural world around you. I don't use the word "inspire" lightly.

Another year is to be gone, another year is to begin. Is it only me or does the carousel really go faster and faster? Is it possible that the older we are the faster time goes for us? Maybe just a resolution the mind has for perception of time weakens in the same way as the eyes and ears weaken with age. Yeah, I'm getting time-blind. In a few years I'm gonna do nothing else in my days but to change a calendar.

Bonne fin d'année. This is a very typical French phrase that doesn't really have an English translation.
This is because by tradition the French celebrate this evening by saying "goodbye" to the old year and then bring in the new one. "Bonne année."
A photo of our Christmas cake which we are saving for tomorrow, when we'll have a slice of it after our New Year's Day lunch. With thanks to my sister, who made it all possible.

Note, when you travel to Fiji with a drone you need to apply for a permit to fly it ahead of your trip.
