As the lights of autumn sunset soften with cooler evening winds, the Hydrangea All Summer Long keeps coming out with new buds and small florets. Will this hydrangea have a name change some time soon?
Why did summer go so quickly,

Just got in from a walk up near the monastery and whilst out we chanced upon this magnificent old tree amongst lots of vine groves. We passed lots of hunters with their dogs and guns as the hunting season has begun in earnest; it started again on 15 August

here the colour version of this unique celestial scenario that welcomed us on the way to our holiday cottage in Hamnoy, Lofoten islands.
The obligatory "No, not an Orchid again" photo. Back-lighted and HDR ;-) Enjoy.

The beaches are deserted but the empty Muskoka chairs are as colourful and inviting as ever. Explored, Mar 4, 2020.

Today I was out and about with my camera to see if I can find summer still lingering somewhere. I discovered a small patch of tiny flowers, possibly Geranum Robertianum, and a few equally tiny butterflies contesting over the few remaining blossoms. So here is the first one to be followed by a few more...
A kayaker slowly paddles across Idaho's Little Redfish Lake under the Sawtooth's Grand Mogul and Mt. Heyburn during a lovely sunset.
America celebrates Labor Day this weekend. For many Americans, Labor Day means the end of summer and beginning of the school year. But the holiday really celebrates the social and economic achievements of American workers. Oregon was the first state to pass a law recognizing Labor Day in the late 19th century.
Weather starts to change around the holiday getting cooler (yay). So pleasures like this are extra special this time of year, as it gets cool here in this high country a bit quicker and these experiences become more priceless.
Thanks for taking a look and for any comments, faves and suggestions!
Wishing everyone a wonderful, Sunday, Holiday and week ahead.

From our first visit on I declared this to be my favourite fjord of the oh so many we had seen. At low tide its waters become almost translucid and one may appreciate all the details of the ground. It has white sand beach all along this part and with the right light paradise seems to be located several degrees above the Arctic Circle :))
Ab 1.
The Cairngorms National Park in Scotland is a wonderful place to be around these dates with moors and glens dressing up for the occasion wearing a natural tartan of purples, greens and some yellow. It is a joy to behold :)

No, smoking is not productive and doesn't say much about taking care about myself, but... having a glass of red wine is!
Since being back to work full time in RL, my walks at the park and quiet moments on my own are more precious now, even more when is possible to enjoy the afternoon sunshine.
I'm still juggling to get things done at the same time as keeping everything balanced, so I try to remind myself that is not bad to take time for yourself. ♥

The best vacations are on the beach: collecting seashells, making sandcastles, reading a book in a hammock, a splash on the water, soaking the sun, mesmerized by the sound of the waves and the wind on the palm trees...and drinking a cold "piña colada". Then go to your hotel room on the top of the mountain with that beautiful view of the ocean and a lot of memories from that day! I need this kind of therapy right now.!! 😊
(This side of the beach is very dangerous for swimmers and surfers because of all the rocks.)

Taken at the end of last Summer, these were fully in bloom and so beautifully coloured, the additional rain drops made for a great opportunity to capture. I love plant photography and it's something I recommend to grow a garden, no matter how big or small, less logistical distance for a start and you can not only grow your own chosen photo opportunities, but take pride in your own creations, though Mother Nature (Gaia) is always the true artist.
I hope everyone's week is going well and so as always, thank you! :)
