For evigt, måske for evigt
Skal vi sammen, samme vej
Og når I morgen får øjne, og natten hviler sig
Skal vi for evigt måske samme vej

Presenting a new beginning, forever you and I
And when the morning gets lonely and life is out of sight
Then we'll be leaving together, you and I

See it big on a desktop if you can but enjoy each day as you can. Some are diamonds and some are potatoes. Live well, be kind, give back.
Wouldn’t that be great? Last few days we had some serious heat here in Chicago but all changed today. Love fresh evenings and morning and pleasant days. I would sign up for this weather all year round! I hope this continues for a while. What do you think?

Endless Summer of '64.
Remember that endless summer of '64?
Remember it!
Are you kidding, how could I forget it?
Old Bar Kombi Festival, New South Wales, Australia.
Here, I am standing by the pond at midnight. The sun is setting down and I am thinking about those summer nights. The street runs along the edge of the small pond and is lined up with houses built in the 40s. You might think it is in these endless summer nights in the North that we need to sleep with sunglasses. That is not necessary because the long days become a part of our daily life and people get more mental activity and strength during that time. That is why summer is my favorite season of the year.

I haven't posted for a while. Just too much going on in most areas of my life. It's been an endless summer. A very hot one too!
In all my years living in Miami, I don't remember experiencing so many spectacular summer sunsets, ideal for long road-biking rides into the dusk hour (as shown,) along the Key Biscayne island. Not the usual late afternoon thunderstorm we normally have on daily basis during the this time of the year.
This is a beautiful view of the Biscayne Bay, with Coral Gables in the horizon, on a low-tide and very hot summer late afternoon.
Enjoy!

When summer refuses to say goodbye, and the Italian Riviera still feels like paradise. 🌅✨ Lounging by the sea, soaking up the last golden rays, and pretending Monday doesn’t exist. Who’s in? 😎🍹

A wickedly wild and drought-ridden woodland scene in Fall overlooking Tod Creek in Gowlland Tod Provincial Park, Vancouver Island, BC.
Vancouver Island has been experiencing record levels of extreme drought not only throughout the Summer season but now into the Fall season with no rain forecast in the foreseeable future. Seemingly endless hot, dry conditions in British Columbia broke several records for September.
“Located near Victoria on southern Vancouver Island, the park preserves a heritage of green space for present and future generations. It encompasses nearly the entire east side of Saanich Inlet, stretching from Goldstream to Brentwood Bay and the world-famous Butchart Gardens.

Sunset, San Clemente, California, January 2021.
The Endless Summer is an influential 1966 American surf documentary film by Bruce Brown. The film follows California surfers Mike Hynson & Robert August on a surfing trip around the world. They travel to the coasts of Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa in a quest for surf spots while introducing locals to surfing along the way. The film made the then little known break off Cape St. Francis in South Africa world famous by characterizing it as having the “perfect wave.”
The narrative differs from the typical documentary style of the 1950s & early 1960s, with its casual, fun-loving and personal style. The film's surf rock soundtrack by The Sandals (San Clemente, California) features a theme song that became a classic, as did the film’s movie poster. In 2002, The Endless Summer was selected for preservation in the US National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Endless_Summer

Sony a6400. Sony E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens. 50mm, F5, 1/1000 sec, ISO 100. Thanks for viewing. Like KHJ “Boss Radio” 930 AM, this movie really evokes 1960s So Cal childhood memories.
I took this shot while on a spontaneous romantic midnight picnic under the stars. We drank champagne and walked the sugar sand beaches of the Emerald Coast, each step illuminated by the bright full moon. You can imagine my surprise when I noticed the Milky Way blasting through the late ambient light trying in vain to pollute the sky. Like love it refused to be denied and like love I wanted to possess it. I moved quickly to the bemusement of my companions, digging out the camera and searching for a tripod that was left… at home. Luckily I had a small pocket tripod that did the trick.
There is nothing more romantic than being reminded of the wonder of your own insignificance. The universe is vast, the Milky Way a small mansion, our solar system a kitchen cabinet, and our Earth but a shelf on a small pull out spice rack. I like that. We bring life to the celestial party. Beauty is uncertain until life bears it witness. I will always remember that wandering night of wonder.
P.S. This is my largest photo to date at 10,720x14,488 pixels. A 35 millimeter lens isn't ideal for capturing The Milky Way so I was forced to make a panorama. :-)

Summer called us like an old friend
no time to waste, we bolted like wild horses
to the beckoning sea, sparkling like a night on fire
Laughing&joking&flirting&jumping
we crashed into the cold waters with our burning bodies
flying like birds without wings as we fell
whatthehell, it felt so good we did it again
we were young&fearless&invincible
and time was on our side
who could blame us for believing that
summer lasts forever
we just wanted to be alive and free
before our lives were diminished in a world growing darker
before the shadows fell
