A certain phase my daughter took up in her teen life, it was a state of mind, a lifestyle, a fad? Whatever it was it was so significant it became a big part of her growing up life. In this session we imortalize that moment, that phase, that time when she was what we call "The Emo Girl".

Meh.. just messing around with photo shop.. learned new coloring techniques. :]

I'll share it with you guys in case you don't know already.

Brush tool>Mode>select clear>duplicate layer>hide bottom layer>use the brush tool set on clear and color over whatever color you want to change..>un-hide layer>hue and saturation (or ctrl u). If you want to make something darker or lighter, for more natural results use ctrl m or curves. ;D Have fun!

Okay finally finished (Best in full view muscle tissue and yes that's a bat in her neck)

it's strange because i read this article in Blender magazine about how emo kids in Mexico are getting bashed physically that is. It actually made me sad (like an emo kid) considering it was mostly because everyone assumed they were all homosexuals which evidently is extremely taboo.

Now i like to make fun of emo kids as the next bro, in fact I now all the words to "The Emo Song" by heart but I love fashion and emo is firstly fashion and secondly music.

I found it assuming that punk kids say "they dress like fags" , "they're unoriginal" "why do they wear such tight pants?" etc etc. When punk, when it first transpired, was treated the exact same. Everyone who was "punk" was considered a homosexual due to their tight pants, makeup, and their jaded views on life. Sound familiar?'

Anyway here's my tribute to you emo kids

(although in America it hit it's peak like... what? two years ago or something)
