As seen on a walk and given a slight blur. Most of 2020/2021 has been in a blur over Covid, so it seemed to reflect how we feel.

I was low on the ground photographying another bird when this guy landed right in front of me. I think the bird miscalculated how big the perch was and more importantly how "deserted" the area was. Perhaps this was simply an emergency landing? No need to say the Heron did not complete its landing and took of immediately when it realised I was laying there. I am surprised how the picture turned out despite the crazy 16,000 ISO.
