AINSDALE GALA FUN DAY (Text below from Ainsdale Civic Society website)
Last year we held our 1st Gala Fun Day and what a success it was! Hundreds of residents, traders and visitors joined in and thoroughly enjoyed a day which brought our community together.
So this year we will do it all again only bigger and better!
It will be on Station Road on Saturday, 6th June and we have already booked lots of fun fair rides for the children, charity stalls and of course the childrens’ favourite, Mr Rumpole, will be here with his Punch and Judy Show and his magic tricks. Lia Baron of Elixir Circus Arts will be here, too, showing the many talents used in her circus acts and
Voice+ Singing school and Academy of Arts of Birkdale will join all the entertainment together.
We are once again inviting the traders along Station Road to join in the fun and many of them will have great old fashioned games for everyone to have a go at.
Of course the Ainsdale Village Church will be holding their annual fête on the same day and will be providing their usual refreshments and further entertainments.
Remember we don’t hold this day for any financial reasons — it is simply to bring our community together and if any money is raised, then as usual, we will put it back into our Village.
So, come along with the family and enjoy yourself!!

The reverse side of my bottle of Skeeg's Brain Elixir. Visible are the remains of the random plants I put in the bottle. Gone is the rubbing alcohol that made up the rest of the solution.
