I didn´t take the individual pictures the image is composed of. This was mainly a photoshop session ... took me about 3 hours. Learning by playing ;-)
Rice, CA. In the Mohave desert, was once the site of a WWII airfield. Later, a railroad stop, gas station and a couple of stone houses. It's now deserted.
NOTE: During WWII, a location very close to Rice had been initially selected for the first atomic bomb test, but New Mexico was selected instead.
Wash is pretty sure the couch is his personal property. Then Quigley shows up for a nap. If you look close, it would appear Quigley has two tails, but the other belongs to Wash. They're both napping on the community couch. Sometimes even us people get to sit on it.
Quigley and I were sitting in the back yard just being one with nature. Suddenly we saw a shadow and instantly it was gone. Quigley looked at me and asked if it was a cat. I said I didn't know. We're both getting old and gray so we went back to being one with nature.
