After a dry winter and about two months of no rain we have water. It's been raining on and off for the past three days...welcome relief.

along the line where darkness lives and keeps it pledge

and there alone solemn and still

stood the flower watching over my mill

of mulling and churning

it was broken and scattered

but it didn't matter

it's job was done standing thru the night

to keep away all fright from its delight

it was going to rest and collect itself

because inside was restoration.

and salvation.

for all the world she was their reason to be

beauty and elegance power and glory

happy to live under her spell with glee

minute by minute like wind in the sand

hour by hour like the rain on the land

day by day....day by day it all went away.

but we are so smart we are so knowing

today it was she tomorrow it is another.

the dream will live forever and ever

till death comes to us forever and ever.

Had a wonderful hour in between showers yesterday getting the newly arrived sandmartins ,swallows and housemartins. Hawking insects despite the bitter gales and heavy showers .

spirits are worn thin

in this atmosphere we are in

the canvas of life has been stretched to the end

lovely colors are fading away

but come what may

this is what i will say.

we artists have a choice we have a voice

we have a heart that is not a part of this

our souls are old

our rhythms in sync

with what to do and what to say

let us be a part of the heart of love

where truth and happiness abound and are found

in our art and with one voice make that choice

in darkness of today let us all say

love is everywhere.

take the hardness of the times

make no use of it's signs

death and strife

are not our life
