in a city that never pauses, this moment in barcelona feels like a circuit break from the everyday current. surrounded by charger cables, plastic cases, and prepaid promises, a man sits like time doesn’t apply. his gaze is lost in the screen, while outside the glass the city keeps moving. but inside, it’s another rhythm—slower, quieter. the light isn’t from the sun but from backlit displays. the scene is cramped and cluttered, yet it radiates calm. in the capital of speed, there’s still space to drift.
Fooling around with post-processing, and having fun with my new(used) 14mm lens. I miss living in Tokyo.
I actually wanted this picture for historical reasons being the chain is in decline and there`s a good chance that one day soon it will be gone forever.

this is geek heaven! this store is called "sofmap", I am guessing it is equivalent to fry's electronics because they have eeeeeverything but in 1/4 maybe 1/5 of fry's store space. they had iphone and ipad, lens, digital camera, game console and games, toys, model toys, ink, office supplies...

I've noticed some cheap negative scanners in big electronicstores, from €100-€200. Does anyone know if they're worth something? Because my photoshop is pretty expensive to have my negatives scanned..

That was was very gloomy and cold, so forgive me and the gray sky. I know we all prefer blue sky and clouds in HDR =]
Shot this from the bottom up while going down the stairs.The Apple store as you guys may know is glass, even the spiral stairs to the store was glass! It was huge and packed with lots of people. I only stayed for 10 minutes and left because there were so many Christmas shoppers there.

Circuit City's history dates back to 1949. Circuit City struggled to reinvent itself; however, its emphasis on high-priced TVs and a decision to replace the commissioned sales staff members with less skilled hourly employees didn't work out. Circuit City closed its doors for a final time on Sunday, March 8th, 2009.
Update: On Friday, May 22nd, 2009 Systemax Inc. (SYX) completed the acquisition of the Circuit City e-commerce business and launched the "new and improved" CircuitCity.com. Out of the ashes... we will see how this works out.
Truly a fascinating section of Tokyo. Everything but the arcades are closed after 8PM (well and some rather interesting cafes). Expect to be handed leaflets by scantily clad young women, dressed as either maids or characters from popular anime trying to advertise a maid cafe on every corner... closely guarded by a "handler", so don't try taking photos, or chatting with them for too long, they have an important job to do :P

Akihabara Station can be (slightly) seen on the left side of the image. The area right in front of Yodobashi Akiba is a very popular meeting spot for all sorts of people (as you can see).
This image is so symbolic of my trip to Japan, and it just so happens that it was the last photo I took during my stay. It was here and gone, in what seemed like a day. So many moments and memories that I'll keep with me forever. Each trip to Japan is just truly magical, and this was no different. It could even be one of my favorite trips so far. I can't wait to come back, I will be back before I know it. But for now, I'll miss you, Japan!! :P
