Polistrumentista dal tocco pulito, il funambolo Simone Vignola suona tutti gli strumenti in quella che sembra una prova di forza: un modo “muscolare” ed entusiasta di misurarsi col mondo, con un respiro internazionale. Eclettismo, senso del groove, sfrontatezza e virtuosismo, queste le doti che porta con sé. Funk, ovviamente, nelle corde, rock, pop-soul, fusion e qualche spruzzata house. Il paragone che può venire in mente è con lo Sting più tardo e radiofonico.
Avellinese classe ’87, Simone è considerato uno dei bassisti one man band più promettenti sulla scena internazionale. Reduce dal fortunato album “Going to the Next Level”, stampato nel mondo in tre edizioni e due lingue (inglese e giapponese), si prepara ad affrontare il nuovo livello con un raffinato disco electro-funk in lingua italiana intitolato Sulla Luna.

THE CYBORGS sono un power duo che sorprende e rappresenta un vero “caso” nell’intero panorama musicale italiano. Difficile trovare in giro una band che faccia trasudare la stessa passione, lo stesso divertimento, la stessa bravura, la stessa ironia.
La loro performance è unica: “0” canta e suona la chitarra con il pollice destro in continua percussione, nella sua maschera è contenuto un microfono e il suono della voce sembra trasmesso da un altro pianeta. “1” suona i bassi della tastiera con la mano sinistra e la batteria con i restanti arti del corpo.
Stanno viaggiando ovunque, comunicando i loro ideali, predicando un ritorno al passato e alla semplicità. Il loro intento è quello di smuovere le coscienze con la musica, a suon di “electrofunkblues”, ed è per questo che, in tempi bui come questi, un disco così è più prezioso dell’aria.
