Witch Hazel is Mother Nature's botanical electricity. Even on the drabbest of winter days, 'Hammamelis Jelena' lights up the garden and my mood. A reminder that spring is coming :)

If it seems that I have ignored you, I have not. My Flickr is not working great or fast at all. I will by pass the panda contest as a free year of pro that works like this is not acceptable in my mind.
I just renewed and this leaves me totally dismayed.
Just a day trip down to Waterford Antiques. Different light and new day. It all looks different.

Just back from a lovely break in Scotland. This is a snap from my phone taken on a rare sunny afternoon at Loch Garten.
Having missed the snow by 2 days I can't work out if we were unfortunate or incredibly lucky to have missed storm Arwen (we were safely tucked up in a cosy B&B in Dumfries & Galloway as the storm blew through). It would have been great to have seen the snow but the idea of no electricity and being snowed in isn't that appealing!
Some success with the wonderful Scottish wildlife - I'll post some images soon.

The electricity supply of the former Warner-Jenkinson dyes factory in Amersfoort.
Photographed during Expo Keerpunt 2020 (Expo Turning Point), an initiative by De WAR, the Amersfoort based breeding ground for research an innovation, now based in this former factory.
Feuchter, kalter Novembernebel aber dennoch ein ein leicht orangefarbener Sonnenuntergang.Ohne Strom könnten wir die Fotos auf Flickr gar nicht ansehen. Diese Leitungen(oder einige davon) werden den, durch Windkraft erzeugten, Strom ganz bis nach Bayern leiten.
Humid, cold November fog, but still a slightly orange sunset. Without electricity, we wouldn't be able to see the photos on Flickr. These power lines (or some of them) will carry the electricity,generated by wind power, all the way to Bavaria.
