Games or Game Pieces: Tarot
"I Tarocchi più Piccoli del Mondo", the smallest Tarot in the world: "Tarot of the Gnomes" by Antonio Lupatelli. Deck of 22 cards (one is missing), a present from a dear friend of mine.
Size of a single card: 2,2 x 1,4 cm (0,86 x 0,55 inches), size of what you see in the frame: 6 x 3 cm (2,5 x 1,2 inches). Please press "Z".
Please also check the next photo in my stream, there you can see how small the cards are: www.flickr.com/photos/94635768@N04/37965178564/
I tried to set the house up without any aids, but it did not work, the cards are so small (and slick) that it collapsed every time. So I used tiny blobs of modelling clay to keep the cards in place. Background / base is a black glitter foam sheet, illuminated with LED lights and an LED flashlight (the blue light).
A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone! Have a great week ahead!
Thank you for your comments and faves, they are always highly appreciated!

Another product from Wednesday night's trip down the Devil's Pulpit gorge. The river Carnach at this point flows through a deep gorge for 500 metres carved through the Old Red Sandstone. In places it is c100' deep. This image produced by merging several photos each a 30sec exposure with a separate element of lighting: 1 &2 for silhouettes (mine, I was alone), 3 underwater torch trail and 4 & 5 side wall uplighting.
Nowadays, people often refer to the gorge itself as the Devil's Pulpit. But that name originally referred specifically to a feature within it, a particular rock that could be imagined to be a pulpit. It's still there right behind where this photo was taken.
OS book on place names: "Deil's Pulpit: this name is applied to a rock, situated in a very deep chasm on Carnock Burn. The origin of the name is not known. The rock cannot be seen unless when the waters of the stream are very low"
Iain C Lees in "The Campsies and the Land of Lennox" (published 1933), says:
"Down in the channel is the Devil's Pulpit, whither he was wont to go when he had anything of importance to say to those of his minions who lived in this area. A long flight of stairs leads to the channel, and when you are there you feel remote from the world. Only the moon is required to produce the most weird and awesome effect."
Taken just after my light redesigns of Deadshot, Harley, Diablo, Spider and Shark to introduce other members of the N52 Squad.
Featuring a pretty cobbled-together version of Cap'n Boomerang I don't think was terribly successful.

Let me know what you think!
So I saw Suicide Squad. It was ok. Not great, not terrible. Main problems were the editing. beginning was weirdly put together and didn't flow well. My favorite parts were just when the squad was hanging out bouncing off of each other. I liked everyone and wanted to spend more time with them. Most of the cast was great. Really liked Jia Courtney (surprisingly), and Will Smith and Margot Robbie killed it. i wish Katana and Killer Croc did more in the plot. You really could've cut them and the plot would have remained in tact. only real flaw was Jared Leto as the joker. Just felt whiny. And I still hate the tattoos. Overall, I didn't hate it as much as Batman v Superman, but it still isn't anything special, or even that good.
Here are my lego hand-painted Suicide Squad minifigures .Include :Harley Quinn,Joker,Deadshot,KillerCroc,El Diablo,Rick Flag, Katana , Boomerang
Hope you guys like it and if you have any suggestions just comment below :) Thanks ~~

Some light painting down the Devil's Pulpit gorge. I decided to pop out here tonight to try out some ideas I'd been mulling over for a while. I was totally astonished to find 2 other guys already down the gorge light painting too when I arrived! I was going to retreat and leave them to it when one started spinning some wire wool! What are the chances of that! I had to find out who it was.Turns out it was the excellent John McSporran and Andy Belshaw here on Flickr. After they'd left I hung about and tried out the Lenser P7 under the water. To get any half decent images I had to crank up the ISO (4000) and blend together several images- there is only so much you can light paint in a 30 second exposure when blundering about in a stream bed in the dark!

Well that was a pretty cool movie :)
It was pretty cut and dry action movie though, if I was to be perfectly honest. But man, was this kind of a missed opportunity on DC's part. Like... I really liked it, my mind wasn't blown.
All the potential was there, all the fun characters were there, but in the end, it wasn't anything new or surprising (if that makes sense). Based on the trailers it seemed as though DC was going to rev up the campyness of their characters, put a weird Thug-Like esthetic over it, and it was gonna be a fun romp.
And there were some of those elements there, but for some reason not everything landed. Take Jared Leto for example. It was implied by the trailers that he was gonna be either the main protagonist, or someone who hinders the team for personal gain. And the thing is, that is exactly what happens, but it's convoluted in such a way that without any real concern for Harley as a character (being that there isn't much to sympathize with) you have no concern for Joker as a 'wild card' randomly popping up here and there to throw a kink in the teams plans.
Now don't get me wrong, he had a motivation to do the things he does, but the reasons are just kind of dumb. So to summarize, it was an interesting take on the character, but what we see isn't impressive, so much as a "oh it's this weirdo again, why didn't he just break in like this at the beginning?" And that can be applied to s lot of these characters, with the exception of say Deadshot or Flagg (those two seemed to know their goals quite clearly)
And that's not to say that this was a bad movie, it was really really good, but it didn't impress me like I thought it would. It makes me want to see more of these characters stories pre-film. Like the escapade and car chase towards the beginning was like five minutes, and then we're back to to main plot. They really push it on us as an audience that these are "bad guys", but besides the tiny bits at the beginning, that idea goes out the window near the end of the movie.
Really though, this was a pretty cliche action movie. You meet the team, you meet the leader, leader gets the team together and they don't get along at first, they have their mission and get to know each other, and by the end everyone is cool with everyone and they stop the bad guy.
I wanted this to be a play on the action movie troupe, not to literally be it. I didn't want everyone to be seen as heroes in the end because their not. Sure, stop the protagonist, but don't be happy about it. Be pissed that you had to do it. Show that "bad guy" side that the story keeps playing up through the film. There could have been a sense of nagging from Waller that motivates them, not a 'Do the right thing' kind of vibe, because that wasn't the way these people rolled. They fight their good fight because they feel it's good to do so. That just really seemed to contradict their ideologies in the end.
But dude, this movie still had some really great beats! The Soundtrack was killer! Katana was a badass! Captain Boomerang had all his different boomerangs! Most, if not all the Bio's/Flashbacks in the beginning were sweet, with the artistic text and effects used (but I wish they continued with that)!
Deadshot's Batman moment was very Batman-y and just felt right. It was very clear the direction they wanted to go with him.
Harley's was a little muddled though (and John Common was there for some reason?) but the three second car chase was neat!
It was fun to see Flash again, but I don't know if I'm sold on Ezra Miller yet. He's got a very weird Wally West vibe around him, especially with the recent SDCC JL trailer. Why do you have no friends?! You're literally the most friendly DC hero! You're friends with your villains for crying out loud!
Sorry... that's a topic for another day.
But Suicide Squad had some cool concepts that haven't been played with in the superhero movie genre, but didn't blow my socks off. It had every possibility to do so with some fine tuning, just like BvS in some respects.
I am quite curious what you all think of it though, because I really did enjoy it :)
I'd like to know though, did it impress or surprise you? Do you feel like The Joker didn't need to be in this movie? Who the heck is Enchantress' brother? I'd like to here your thoughts! :)
--------------------------------------
So this has to have been one of the most spontaneous images I've done in a while! I started this protect back in late June thinking the Suicide Squad film was coming out August 26th for some reason, so I was thinking to my self I had plenty of time to get this done. Boy was I wrong! Not only did I have pick up the City Prison Island Set (60130) to get enough jail bars in time to build the MOC (finishing around the middle of July. I had to order Danny West from Andrew (minifigs.co.uk) sometime between all this because Christo didn't have anymore (also no more 1939 Batman's! Grrr!). Plus I needed to place a Bricklink order to pick up Deadshot (because the set he comes in is super lame tbh) Not only that, but the new DC set with Cpt Boomerang didn't release in the US until August 1st (Five days ago) So I basically haven't had any free time at all this week!
Monday, I picked up the Killer Croc set (plus some others) and sorted the brick. Tuesday was assembling the figs and principle photography with the build from mid-July. Wednesday was all Post-Production (I had to work that day as well). Thursday was taken up mostly by fine tuning the image (Post Production), Uploading to Patreon, Seeing the Film, and then writing out my thoughts on it!
All things considered, I'm incredibly surprised that I managed to get this out on time! :P
I really wanted to out-do my older rendition of the group, and I feel that I managed to do so! It was a lot of money and work in a short amount of time, but I did it!
Woo! :D

Took some time to myself to explore the type of places I clung to when I first touched down on the Grid... surf sims.
Visited close to a dozen of them, and man was it exciting!
One of my favorites I quickly got a few snapshots at El Diablo.
Of course, I had some ♫♬ playing; one of which was a cover of Can't Feel My Face" by Walk Off The Earth. If you haven't heard of them before, check them out; I've been a fan for years.
Not my usual full list today as i wanted to showcase this beautiful corset for the juicy boobs by Eldiablo Claven @Addicted Apothecary maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Slatanic%20Mechanic/186/13...
the level of detail on the corset is insane! i love it!
You've seen em all before, I just wanted to get this pic out there, as it was left over from the last Squad photoshoot.
Deathstroke, Joker's Daughter, El Diablo, Deadshot, Reverse Flash, Black Manta, Harley Quinn, King Shark Captain Boomerang, and Black Spider.
In other news, I've been sucked back into the black hole that is college so there's probably gonna be less posts from me in the coming days. Damn you, homework!
I'm thinking that some of the baristas at El Diablo need to find a new way to vent their anger...
And, no, this wasn't directed at me. This was something this particular barista really wanted to do to various other customers who pissed him off on occasion. They actually like me very much there.
