Unbinding the Library will consider the physical, historical, and ecological relationships between the Reanimation Library and Gowanus—the neighborhood in which the library is situated. Starting at the Reanimation Library, participants will reproduce images from the library that correspond to one of the above categories and then, as a group, we will post these images at sites in the neighborhood that resonate with the categories and the individuals on the walk. Unbinding the Library will prompt the library—itself an imperfect attempt to codify, organize, and control information—to spontaneously release some of its contents into the more loosely structured organization of its immediate urban setting.

This yarn really stretches out of shape, so I crocheted some elastic into the bottom to help it hold its shape.

This was super fast, fun and easy to memorize. I love the shape and think it looks really good on me. I've gotten many complements on it, particularly how it works with my hair.
The yarn is lovely - very pillowy and smooth, probably from the cotton content. There does not appear to be dyelots on this yarn, but my two skeins were pretty different in color. I alternated skeins every two rows. I haven't blocked this, but the yarn seems to be stretching out a bit. I may try to reshape or crochet some elastic into the brim.

Elastic{ON} Tour Amsterdam 2015 was held on October 29th at De Halle and brought together 230 people dedicated to doing great things with data. All profits were donate to CoderDojo to support their programs and initiatives.

We'll return to Orangeburg, NY on the 25th anniversary that my family moved from Rutgers Road East, site of our first home til I was 9. We'll park the car near the cemetery and walk through the winding suburban streets, past the Deaf Child Area and up the hill until we find the old house where I grew up. Along the way, I'll tell stories about what I remember while we re/discover this neighborhood together.
