I have had these from new since 1988. I only worn them occassionaly in that time, perhaps more in recent months from when these pics were taken. Sadly the rubber is perishing on them and the canvas is faded and thin. The toe holes in the canvas have got bigger in recent days from wear. They really are on borrowed time and eventually will fall apart I feel !

The pre-cut bag of elastics seem to come in 3 sizes: small, medium, and large (although I can't quite tell if the medium elastics really are bigger than the small ones or if it's just a trick of my eyes).

I suggest dumping the bag out on your work surface and dividing them into piles based on size.

This is my friend Elise. She has a very elastic body! I could never do somthing like that...

Want to know why I’m smiling? My skirt has a partial elastic waist (and so does my belt). Ahhhh…

Step 1: Measure childs' waist and cut elastic 2" smaller than measurement to allow for stretch. Sew both ends of elastic together by hand or with sewing machine.

A hand drawn sketch by Dr. Christensen from the University of Michigan Medical School for the laboratory sessions he conducted in the Medical Histology Course for first year medical students. The drawings were done with felt markers on a white board in the lab during the morning of the day a particular topic was being studied in the course. When the laboratory session began, the drawings were briefly discussed, and they could be seen by the students throughout the laboratory period.

I've decided to start posting on flickr again, though I'm going to turn off commenting and post lots and lots of photos - I don't have the time to spend here like I used to, so if you want to look just look, that's fine - I mostly post on Facebook now, the only problem with that is that the quality of photos is ruined - so if I want to share a link with how the original photo looked I now can through flickr.

I hope you are all keeping well, it's been a while.

I've been asked to turn comments back on, I shall do but still won't have time to comment myself - just enjoy the photos :)

Wow. Okay she only has one piece of elastic. From the back legs, one half of each leg goes down into a front leg, the other halves go up through the human torso to the head.

It is only the beginning of the year and I am feeling like a piece of elastic stretched as far as it can go. My own fault, got over committed and having difficulty fulfilling the commitments. I know this is going to ease off before long so I am hanging in!

Stitch the ends of the elastic together to make a circle. I overlap my elastic slightly and zigzag across it 4 times.
