Local barn during the blue hour ~ Poughkeepsie, NY

Leica 35mm Summicron-M

Here is the depression-era suspension walking bridge in Richfield County Park, built in 1938. A WPA project in the county made this possible. It is standing the test of time, as many of the WPA-CCC builds do all across the USA.

A typical prefab building in my hometown, similar to the one I grew up in.

Building: 1 Canada Square,

Architect: Cesar Pelli, Adamson Associates and Frederick Gibberd Coombes

Completed: 1991

Oldsmobile 88 in Hannover.

How many keys are on a piano one might ask?

Some decades are bigger than others. Well, maybe big 80's hair will make a comeback. Or how about a neo-Miami Vice. What was your favorite 80's show?

BTW, this area around Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave. has dramatically improved since the 80's.

Eighties, I'm living in the eighties

Eighties, I have to push, I have to struggle

Eighties, get out of my way, I'm not for sale no more

Eighties, let's kamikaze 'til we get there

And we sang

You do it this way

Eighties, by day we run by night we dance, we do

Eighties, I'm in love with the coming race

Eighties, I've got the best, I'll take all I can get

Eighties, I'm living for the eighties

Eighties, I'm living in the eighties, I push

Eighties, I'm living

Eighties, I'm living in the eighties, I struggle

Eighties, I'm living

Eighties, I'm living

Eighties, I'm living in the eighties

Eighties, I'm living in the eighties, I push

Eighties, push, push, struggle

Eighties, I'm living

Eighties, eighties, I'm living

Eighties, I'm living in the eighties, I push

From the moth trap in my garden. A new one for me.

I'm on 32 species so far and it's only May !

It would be foolish not to acknowledge the physical decay that inevitably comes with old age. The brain is physical too, so it is included here. The task is to develop a way of life and a mentality corresponding to these changes. And that is more difficult than it sounds. Leica M8, Elmar 4/135 at F8.

It would be even more foolish to give up on humour, laughter, curiosity and sociability. If you can, that is. Even if wisdom does not come with old age (at least, it hasn't come to me) we do at least have a large repertoire of ways of looking. All in all, it is not that bad to be old. Leica M8, Elmar 4/135 at F8.

I am sooo not sure about this processing. Just saying.

Guatemala is a paradise for butterflies. I saw many beauties flying around. This one is not the biggest but has a special design. The eighty eight butterfly or diaethria Anna.

#320/365 Some piano bokeh for this monday. I thought I'd play around with some textures. The texture is free from Jessica Drossin.

More than eighty percent of the 10th century group of temples iside "Survaya ki Garhi" was destroyed in subesequent invasions. But, with wonderful effort of the Archaeological Survey of India, it has been grossly restored and the ancient structures and the courtyard bear the touch of the era.
