hellllooooow guys :) im still here. still alive and kicking. i've been away from flickr for quiet a month not because of Ramadhan. its just that i dont really have much time for photoshooting..
this was shot at Bagan Nahkoda Omar on the 3rd day of Eidul-Fitri. i like to wish a Happy Eid-Mubarak to all my muslim friends and flickr contacts worldwide!

On the road towards Twizel from Tekapo. Only two of us (i was driving and Azman keeping me awake with his jokes) were awake while others were long lulled to sleep by the steady hum of the engine and coldness of the night. And then we saw the milky way right in front of us. A sight to behold, and a memory to treasure - with an image or two as bonus :)

It was Eidul Azha last year, so i go to my village which is near the world's largest Mangrove forest, Shundarbans in morning with my car for 2 hours in it and when i was about to return to Khulna city i just get out the main gate of our house and shoot it :)

Ketupat (not to be confused with Lontong) is a type of dumpling from Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines (where it is known by the name Patupat in Kapampangan. Puso in Cebuano, or Ta'mu in Tausug), made from rice that has been wrapped in a woven palm leaf pouch which is then boiled. As the rice cooks, the grains expand to fill the pouch and the rice becomes compressed. This method of cooking gives the ketupat its characteristic form and texture of a rice dumpling. Ketupat is usually eaten with rendang (a type of dry beef curry) or served as an accompaniment to satay. Ketupat is also traditionally served by Indonesians, Moros and Malays at open houses on festive occasions such as Idul Fitri (Hari Raya Aidilfitri). During Idul Fitri in Indonesia, ketupat is often served with chicken curry, accompanied with spicy soy powder. Among Filipinos, puso is also traditionally used as a pabaon or a mobile meal, traditionally brought by workers as a type of packed lunch, served with any selection of stews.
There are many varieties of ketupat, with two of the more common ones being ketupat nasi and ketupat pulut. Ketupat nasi is made from white rice and is wrapped in a square shape with coconut palm leaves while ketupat pulut is made from glutinous rice is usually wrapped in a triangular shape using the leaves of the fan palm (Licuala). Ketupat pulut is also called "ketupat daun palas" in Malaysia.
In Indonesia, ketupat sometimes boiled in thin coconut milk and spices to enhance the taste.

Apologies for losing touch with photography now since i'm back to college again. Please keep encouraging me so I come back to what I once use to love so much. Feels like I'm losing myself and my art....
I have to get used to the framing of the 50 on the M3....too much shooting with the Nokton 40/1.4. At this point I thought Azhar was in the frame....sorry for the slice Bro!
It was blazing hot outside so we head inside the Kapitan Mosque, Georgetown. Took some rest there before resuming the shoot.
We met this sufi from Bangladesh, he is on the mosque tour in the month of ramadhan and will be back in Bangladesh for the Eidul Fitri.

It was the night before Eidul-Fitri, when my friends and I decided to have some drinks at Costa Coffee. It's unique how they decorate the coffees like the one in the picture. This is a photo of Cappucino Primo that i ordered. If you go to Costa Coffee, i would recommend Cappucino or Mocha, they taste really good!
Sorry for the low quality though, captured with my Sony Ericsson G502 2MP camera only :p.
The Sindh Cultural Day also famous as Sindhi Topi(Cap) and Ajrak Day, will be celebrated today (Saturday) till 3 days (Monday) with great passion and zest across the province. The people of Sindh swiftly came out of the Eidul Azha festivity and were seen busy in purchasing traditional Sindhi clothes, Sindhi Topi (Traditional Sindhi Cap) and Ajraks while the female shoppers preferred to buy ‘Sucee’, dress made of Ajrak, hand made Gajj, Tano and Jhimee Poti.

Eid ul-Fitr or Id-Ul-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر ‘Īdu l-Fiṭr), often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fiṭr means "to break the fast" (and can also mean "nature", from the word "fitrah"); and so the holiday symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period.
May there be peace in Mindanao, in the entire Philippines, and in the whole world!

As much as i tried to be happy for the upcoming eidul fitri.. its no longer the same with my father no longer around.. cherish your loves one while they still around..
