I finally found the area of FF that has the artwork galleries! The above pic is me, cosplaying as myself, in front of my picture! There is a whole room filled with a selection of fantasy pictures from various flickr people.

It goes without saying that MY pic is the best one...the best one with roman armor and a spear and a shield and standing on a hill in a red cape..

But the rest are great too!

Go check em out below:

Friends intend to communicate a temporary departure from the readings of visit, I realize that my time is gone by my fingers, but Flickr is changing, today many people, when visited in a cordial way, restrict themselves to thank in their own page, named the visitor without wanting to visit the page of the same, will this egocentric tendency will remain? I will only return on the page of those who respond with a visit! Greetings !

Youst an other egocentric picture

Every picture tells a story. It is a unique opportunity to capture and describe the character, personality, and beauty of a place. Yosemite is definitely quite an impressive story teller. As a place that gets tons of attention and it rightfully deserves it, it does not boast in and of itself. It boasts of someone else. Living in such an egocentric world as we do, it is rare to see such humility. The thing that I truly love and respect about nature is that it is so humble and it boasts only in its Creator. It does not beg for its well earned attention, but rather points to the One who deserves infinite praise and eternal glory!

When I placed this Madrone tree berry on a circular mat, it reminded me of the illustrations of planets circling the sun. Though perhaps it is a great illustration of a narcissist...or an egocentric toddler. :)

The egocentricity of Flickr members and saddening.....

"If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for another. If you wish to know that you are safe, cause another to know that they are safe. If you wish to better understand seemingly incomprehensible things, help another to better understand. If you wish to heal your own sadness or anger, seek to heal the sadness or anger of another"

Egocentric thoughts will only take us so far in life. It is in doing things for others that we find happiness.

I want to thank everyone for that post... "Please give-me one photo to make me smile. Post in here that photo." I did not think it will be like that and I have no words.

It is amazing.

I wanted to comment and thank one by one and I started to do...but 252 photos (at this moment) are a lot of comments for a day.

But I will try to comment all.

It wasn’t a trick to have comments... it was a way to have fun and I think everyone had fun to. I don’t care about being egocentric and this was a way of everyone to show is art of joy. Comments are important, but enjoy live and do things for pleasure is more important. A lot of people say flickr is loosing is joy. I don’t know, I’m new in were. I hope not.

And this shows that everyone around the world can be together in this fantastic art call photography.

Thank you everyone. I don’t have anything important to give you all, but I give you all my smiles.

Why this title?

Some "administrators" who create groups, such as dictators in their small kingdom, like to reject photos that have been suggested. These meet the requirements, however. Especially for me when it comes to Black & white ...

But art, so unpretentious, that I can call my photo works, cannot be censored. And if it is not in these small groups ruled by dictatorship, stupidity and egocentricity it will be elsewhere. There are always windows open to offer what I love to create.

There was light before

The rain began,

And there was hope

Behind the suffering joke.

Lies come,

Lies they go.

Even the sun is tired.

Under the surfaces,

There is a benevolent drone.

Do you feel it?

So brutal when the words are on

The tip of your tongue,

So strange when your tired eyes won't

Shut your brain down.

Hold back the melancholy,

Hold back the fear, darling,

It's a crime.

Hold back the fear.

Hold back the melancholy,

It's a crime.

Sometimes I can taste my death

Like a candy bar.

So sweet and complete

As infinity takes me

This fool's end.

I create to keep that dog in my bearable door.

I made hologram

In my egocentric universe of...

You're alive,

But you know that the wire

Under you is bending.

And the truth is always telling you to be

Immune to everything.

Hold back the melancholy,

Hold back the fear, darling.

It's a crime.

Hold back the fear.

hold back the melancholy,

It's a crime.

Hold back the fear.

Hold back the darkness.

Hold back the melancholy.

Hold back the melancholy,

We need guidance from time to time

The guidance can come from cirumstances you are in, or people you are surrounded by

In addition we need to strenghten our intuition to find out what is the right way, not my Ego's way - which is always the easiest way

Strengthen our intuition is not always easy if you are stressed or imbalanced

We need time for ourselves to listen to our within, finding out who we really are, getting to know ourselves also makes you love and respect yourself

How fortunate we are, the ones of us that live in the richer countries, that can take the challenge to grow from within

Not easy to do when you are in a warzone or living in a poor country and your main issue in life is to get water, food and shelter

We often don't know how fortunate we are, because we don't know of anything else - what we see happening to others is not our lives and therefore we don't get it in

Living in it is totally something else

It is not only the news, it's actually somebodys lives

Living in a rich country, as Im doing, gives me this opportunity, and I'm grasping that opportunity with both arms and deep diving into it

In a way I owe it to the ones that aren't so fortunate

Maybe that sounds very strange and egocentric

But otherwise I think I'm wasting an opportunity that I am given

Freedom Tree & Democracy Chair

2013

In his works Julius von Bismarck explores people’s ability to perceive, and he uses the laws of physics to challenge the way we are used to seeing things.

Suspended from the ceiling of the exhibition space, a blue office chair and a simple table each swing in a circular orbit.

At times the movement of table and chair is closely aligned, at other times out of sync. Moving in a rhythm of dance-like accompaniment, the two objects seem to have attained weightless freedom.

Computer-operated motors determine the chair and table’s precise circular paths, which have marginally deferred frequencies.

I have left out the rotary motor, the suspension cables and the corresponding chair to challenge your viewing habits even more ;-) ...

Leganga - Arusha

Tanzânia

We just returned from about two weeks spent in Tanzania, and I have to say it was by far our worst trip ever. The country, the people, the landscapes, and the birdlife and wildlife in general warrant a return visit — but the guide we somewhat naively chose was an absolute disaster.

A presumptuous, egocentric, narcissistic, arrogant, Trump-supporting, climate-change-denying, constantly self-flattering individual who fancies himself a great photographer (he describes his own photos as "fucking good").

His photos are mediocre, some even out of focus, but for a birder just looking to document sightings, that’s normal, and I accepted it. If only he’d had the humility to simply show us the birds and let us handle the photography. Instead, every time we had a chance to photograph a bird, he’d lecture us on how we should do it—even scolding us for checking our shots on the camera. He never did that himself, using his Nikon D850 (what a waste) almost in point-and-shoot mode (his own words).

He kept insisting he was a photographer and knew all about the importance of light, but every single day, we saw it was pure theory—he had zero practical skills. He’d constantly forget and sulk when we pointed it out. Basically, if the background was blue sky, the light was good; if it was cloudy, the light was bad. That was the extent of his knowledge of light and photography.

On the very first day, his first attempt was taking us to a lake hoping to find an African Black Duck. Well, as our friend A. Guerra would say, ironically, when things go bad, at least we didn’t see it—because the photos would have been a complete disaster. The access to the lake was directly facing the sun, with glare all over the water. It would have been a huge frustration.

At the middle of day, with terrible strong light, he decided show us a colony of Taveta Weavers — only for our disappointment to deepen as they were entirely backlit. When we mentioned the lighting issue, he simply ignored us (something he’d do systematically for as long as we endured him). I had to push through thick vegetation and small water ditches to find a better angle, while he seemed annoyed at how long we took to get a decent shot.

(Another thing that bothered him was us not knowing a species’ name or mispronouncing it.)

But that was just the first day. The following days were a series of unpleasant situations, multiple arguments — the last one shouting — until we gave up on his services (already paid for) and had to scramble for an alternative. I’ll talk about that in future posts.

I won’t name him here, but if you send me a private message, I’ll tell you who he is — so my friends don’t make the same mistake we did.

The only partially positive thing I can say is that, with the help of local guides, he did find the hardest-to-spot species—even if it meant risking our lives, subjecting us to two hours of being thrown around in the vehicle while completely lost off any passable trail (even for a 4x4). Not to mention his dangerously reckless driving on main roads.

----------------------------------

The universe revolves around photography!

I'm starting today a series of self-portraits done with my image reflected in windows, mirrors, etc. I'm afraid some may see this as a bit egocentric. Actually I think I've not a big ego. I had fun in taking and editing these pictures and hope those who will be looking at them enjoy as well.

"It is a country to breed mystical people, egocentric people, perhaps poetic people. But not humble ones. At noon the total sun pours on your single head; at sunrise or sunset you throw a shadow a hundred yards long. It was not prairie dwellers who invented the indifferent universe or impotent man. Puny you may feel there, and vulnerable, but not unnoticed. This is a land to mark the sparrow's fall."

callous lack of empathypsychopath test pclr

please score yourself 0 1 2 3 on each of the 20 items and record your score as a comment on the total score image

The PCL-R is a clinical rating scale (rated by a psychologist or other professional) of 20 items. Each of the items in the PCL-R is scored on a three-point scale according to specific criteria through file information and a semi-structured interview. A value of 0 is assigned if the item does not apply, 1 if it applies somewhat, and 2 if it fully applies. In addition to lifestyle and criminal behavior the checklist assesses glib and superficial charm, grandiosity, need for stimulation, pathological lying, conning and manipulating, lack of remorse, callousness, poor behavioral controls, impulsivity, irresponsibility, failure to accept responsibility for one's own actions and so forth. The scores are used to predict risk for criminal re-offence and probability of rehabilitation.

The current edition of the PCL-R officially lists four factors (1.a, 1.b, 2.a, and 2.b), which summarize the 20 assessed areas via factor analysis. The previous edition of the PCL-R[5] listed two factors. Factor 1 is labelled "selfish, callous and remorseless use of others". Factor 2 is labelled as "chronically unstable, antisocial and socially deviant lifestyle". There is a high risk of recidivism and currently small likelihood of rehabilitation for those who are labelled as having "psychopathy" on the basis of the PCL-R ratings in the manual for the test, although treatment research is ongoing.

PCL-R Factors 1a and 1b are correlated with narcissistic personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder. They are associated with extraversion and positive affect. Factor 1, the so-called core personality traits of psychopathy, may even be beneficial for the psychopath (in terms of nondeviant social functioning).

PCL-R Factors 2a and 2b are particularly strongly correlated to antisocial personality disorder and criminality and are associated with reactive anger, criminality, and impulsive violence. The target group for the PCL-R is convicted criminals. The quality of ratings may depend on how much background information is available and whether the person rated is honest and forthright.

[edit] The two factorsFactor 1: Personality "Aggressive narcissism"

Glibness/superficial charm

Grandiose sense of self-worth

Pathological lying

Cunning/manipulative

Lack of remorse or guilt

Shallow affect (genuine emotion is short-lived and egocentric)

Callousness; lack of empathy

Failure to accept responsibility for own actions

Factor 2: Case history "Socially deviant lifestyle".

Need for stimulation/proneness to boredom

Parasitic lifestyle

Poor behavioral control

Lack of realistic long-term goals

Impulsivity

Irresponsibility

Juvenile delinquency

Early behavior problems

Revocation of conditional release

Traits not correlated with either factor

Promiscuous sexual behavior

Many short-term marital relationships

Criminal versatility

Acquired behavioural sociopathy/sociological conditioning (Item 21: a newly identified trait i.e. a person relying on sociological strategies and tricks to deceive)

Early factor analysis of the PCL-R indicated it consisted of two factors. Factor 1 captures traits dealing with the interpersonal and affective deficits of psychopathy (e.g. shallow affect, superficial charm, manipulativeness, lack of empathy) whereas Factor 2 dealt with symptoms relating to antisocial behaviour (e.g. criminal versatility, impulsiveness, irresponsibility, poor behaviour controls, juvenile delinquency).

The two factors have been found by those following this theory to display different correlates. Factor 1 has been correlated with narcissistic personality disorder, low anxiety, low empathy, low stress reaction and low suicide risk but high scores on scales of achievement and well-being. In addition, the use of item response theory analysis of female offender PCL-R scores indicates factor 1 items are more important in measuring and generalizing the construct of psychopathy in women than factor 2 items.

In contrast, Factor 2 was found to be related to antisocial personality disorder, social deviance, sensation seeking, low socio-economic status[6] and high risk of suicide. The two factors are nonetheless highly correlated and there are strong indications they do result from a single underlying disorder. However, research has failed to replicate the two-factor model in female samples.

Recent statistical analysis using confirmatory factor analysis by Cooke and Michie indicated a three-factor structure, with those items from factor 2 strictly relating to antisocial behaviour (criminal versatility, juvenile delinquency, revocation of conditional release, early behavioural problems and poor behavioural controls) removed from the final model. The remaining items are divided into three factors: Arrogant and Deceitful Interpersonal Style, Deficient Affective Experience and Impulsive and Irresponsible Behavioural Style.

In the most recent edition of the PCL-R, Hare adds a fourth antisocial behaviour factor, consisting of those Factor 2 items excluded in the previous model. Again, these models are presumed to be hierarchical with a single unified psychopathy disorder underlying the distinct but correlated factors.

The Cooke & Michie hierarchical ‘three’-factor model has severe statistical problems—i.e., it actually contains ten factors and results in impossible parameters (negative variances)—as well as conceptual problems. Hare and colleagues have published detailed critiques of the Cooke & Michie model. New evidence, across a range of samples and diverse measures, now supports a four-factor model of the psychopathy construct,] which represents the Interpersonal, Affective, Lifestyle, and overt Antisocial features of the personality disorder.

Diagnostic criteria and PCL-R assessmentPsychopathy is most commonly assessed with the PCL-R, which is a clinical rating scale with 20 items. Each of the items in the PCL-R is scored on a three-point (0, 1, 2) scale according to two factors. PCL-R Factor 2 is associated with reactive anger, anxiety, increased risk of suicide, criminality, and impulsive violence.

PCL-R Factor 1, in contrast, is associated with extraversion and positive affect. Factor 1, the so-called core personality traits of psychopathy, may even be beneficial for the psychopath (in terms of nondeviant social functioning). A psychopath will score high on both factors, whereas someone with APD will score high only on Factor 2.

Both case history and a semi-structured interview are used in the analysis.

Some trees stand from the crowd.

This is the last picture of this project. One year, 52 weeks and 52 photos have passed since I out of a random impulse decided to take the first step on this journey. This year has had many ups and downs. There have been a lot of first-times and a lot of situations where I had to go beyond my own confidence. This year has really given me a lot of confidence and courage. I think that my pictures really reflect all of this. Some pictures are better than others and this really depends on my moods and how much effort I put into them. I never had the goal to create only perfect pictures, because that would not represent my life at all. Some weeks are just plain, boring and uninspiring while others really get my mind going like a firework.

All of this would not have been the same, if I had not shared the pictures with you. Your comments, your faves and messages keep me going. Because of you I am finally able to talk more openly about my work with people I meet and I am not that afraid of people judging me because of it anymore. Some people say that my pictures are only about me and that this makes me an egocentric person. I disagree, because my goal is to reach people out there and tell them that it is okay to be vulnerable and show your vulnerability to other people. I want people to look at these pictures with their hearts.

regarding the self or individual as the center of all things.

She knows that an inauguration of a Gallery should not be bored. Besides, she also knows the flexibility is indispensable if you have relations with egocentric artists. She is the best for a Gallery, flexible and amusing, without will of prominence.

This is part of the Bay Bridge on the San Francisco side... It is beautiful to look at but hard to be on because of endless traffic... Trivia: If you live in San Francisco and your friend lives in the East Bay, it is assumed that your friend will come to San Francisco to see you, at least in my world. There is something egocentric about San Franciscans. We expect people to come to us. After all, we are the hub of activity...
