And just like that.. over the weekend, a number of newly registered AMG GTs started surfacing on the roads of KL. Seems as though this is the first batch of customers taking delivery of the car.
So, I've asked why Merc axed the SLS and created the AMG GT; which is claimed not to be the SLS replacement, but more of an interim. I found out (from a reliable source) that Mercedes is doing this to maintain exclusivity, similar to the 300SL.
Will this come true? Only time will tell. In the meantime, I have to say that I prefer the visual impact of the AMG GT over the SLS (which happens to be more elegant, more refined?).
