Well if they don't come to you, sometimes you have to go to them. So it was off to British Columbia in search of some Owls. It was a bit late in the season, and I was fortunate to find this Northern Pygmy Owl near Chilliwack. It was a three hour round trip from my motel for ten minutes of photography that this individual provided, but it was worth it! This little guy seemed completely unfazed by my presence and I was more startled than it was when I turned around and there it was, right in front of me.

A re-edit of a photo that I took over 11 years ago that I took while driving(!) Revisiting the image, I corrected the lens distortion and de-noised it using a Topaz plugin in Photoshop, made adjustments and applied a lookup table in Luminar 4.

The We're Here! gang is having a lazy Sunday afternoon today. Fred was working on a school project and I was editing the third in a trilogy of books I'm editing, so it was a lovely, quiet afternoon with chamber music in the background and a good book to read, with only minor typos and style issues to correct.
