Today I dropped a tambourine off at a friends house and came home with an entirely revolutionised approach to photography and editing.
He is a legend: www.flickr.com/photos/davidr_/
It's official!!! I'm weird!!!! lol :)
I was taking these photos and two girls aged about 11 walk past. They stand there looking at me for a minute (bare in mind they're staring at a teenager :)) and then one of them says "What are you doing?". Here I am, standing under a tree with barely any blossom on it, holding a branch down to within photographing distance, and holding up my camera - I guess I looked funny :) I say "Taking photos of the flowers" "Oh" There are a few moments of silence before she says "Why?" I say "Because they're pretty." "Oh" more silence. Why did she think?? Because I have to for an assignment? (which is possibly true - the Wellington Homeschoolers Photography Club here on Flickr (which I run) has a theme this month of new beginnings. So I guess it's a possibility)
Or did she think it was so boring that no one in their right mind would want to do it??
After a few more seconds, they run off down the path and the girl said "You're weird..."
La dee da! :) It's official :) Even though some of my friends already know! lol :)
I'm not sure whether to be offended or flattered :)
I can't decide which of these edits is best!!
Any opinions are valid!!! lol :)
Northstar 503 throttles up and heads toward the Anoka Station. Also had an enjoyable conversation with Vlad while shooting this one. It's always great to see fellow railfans out and about! Edited
Better? I'm not very good at photo editing. I just muck around until I like the results. I rarely have the time or patience (and certainly not the skills) to do any editing other than cropping out ugly/annoying/embarrassing background details.
