To get to the top of Stanserhorn, we went to Stans, a little town outside of Lucerne, we took a funicula partially up the mountain, and then a gondola. After that it was a short hike to the top. It was breathtaking!

This is my edit of the image I have taken called Joop Bottle. To firstly achieve this edit, I created another layer via copy. This created a new layer in Photoshop with the exact same image on it, I did this so I could use one effect on one layer and another and the second layer. What I then did next was desaturate the background on the first layer. To do this I selected the top layer I wanted to use and used the quick selection tool to highlight the background, I then deleted it. Then I went to the other layer and used the desaturation adjustment to make the background desaturated. I noticed that the image looked a little sharp on the desaturated background, so next I used the rubber tool with an opacity of 30 and rubbed around the edges of the image to make it less harsh and to blend it in with the background. The final thing that I did to complete this edit was adjust the hue and saturation on the top layer image. I changed the Hue to -89, Saturation to 35 and lightness to -25, this made the joop aftershave bottle turn purple. I decided to use purple because I thought you could still read to text on the bottle easily and look good on the desaturated background.
I DID NOT TAKE THIS PHOTO!
it was just some good editing practice for pioneer woman's kitty editing assignment.
