This probably won't "win" - but to me, it epitomizes the North Market, the people, the food, and the urban setting (the hand, the fruit, and the blacktop). - this is edited from the pic "Select One..."
my intended theme was to show how people especially children don't have a say in what happens. my goal was to show how shes scared and afraid that if she might speak out something might happen. I don't know though

To start this edit I changed the hue/saturation all the way to black and white, going on to change the levels of the image. Next I changed the first colour balance too +19 red and -21 yellow, then on the second colour balance added I changed it too +24 red and -22 yellow to create the toned look. After that I added the same picture in again and rubbed everything out except the windows and the coloured window through the door so they would stay in their original colour for more of an effect.
