The Kavanagh Building was the tallest building in South America when it was completed in 1935. It was also the tallest reinforced concrete building in the world. This 150 unit building, which combined elements of art deco, modernism, and rationalism, is said to have been the most technologically advanced residential tower of its time. It was financed by Corina Kavanagh, an heiress who belonged to a wealthy ranching family. Apparently, Kavanagh used up her entire fortune in the construction of this building, which is now a national landmark.

Revisando mis archivos, me he encontrado unas fotos de las que ya ni me acordaba. Se trata del día que fuí a Salburua a hacer las fotos para el documental en el que estoy participando. Se trata del edificio central de la caja vital, na obra arquitectónica bastante curiosa que nunca haba tenido oportunidad de fotografiar.
