The islet of Eden located just off the northwestern coast of Santa Cruz is the remains of a volcanic "tuff cone" - a type of volcanic feature formed when molten lava comes into contact with cold sea water with explosive results. There is an abundance of wildlife here as you will see.

A wee wander into the Eden Valley on Sunday morning to see what the conditions were like.
This is one for those lovers of a sunrise:)
The Eden Valley near Lazonby as the sun starts to show its face giving a bit of colour to the sky.

Eden is a British reality TV series; the first series was broadcast on Channel 4 from 18 July to 8 August 2016. It featured 23 participants living for a year in a remote part of Scotland, attempting to build a self-sufficient community. Filmed by the participants themselves, production began in March 2016. Unknown to the participants, broadcasting ceased after four episodes due to poor viewer ratings. However, the final 5 episodes were broadcast in August 2017 as Eden: Paradise Lost.
This is Singing Sands beach, where the Eden programme was made. A battle for survival for a year. I lasted a few hours on a very wet day last winter before I called the CoastGuard to help me get out. I'm glad to hear the fit young things in the programme say what a work out it was to even get there.

Crape Myrtle at the upper overlook in Cincinnati. Still having software issues retrieving images from Aperture and working with new software consultant...very bad situation.
It was difficult to capture this with the water in the stream higher than usual so I couldn't cross to right of falls.
I love the Redbud bush at top for a splash of color. Trying to position myself the cliff on right had water splashing down - not heavily but like a light rain and mist.
... plus me! A portrait of the most adored Eden Gibb. I'm sorry, I was just unable to resist being in it!
An unexpected snowfall covered the entire secret garden. Only the yellow apples stand out against the blue sky. Everything else is covered by a blanket of white fluff.
