This young lady designed and built her own homemade viewing box with ISO-rated glasses. The box prevents light from seeping around the glasses' edges, creating a better-defined (and safer) view.

Solar Eclipse, March 2015
Taken from Dauntsey, Wiltshire....snapping a partial eclipse during a very long coffee-break!
Bueno no es que sea gran cosa, como comentaba en el post anterior, es un telescopio economico de 1200mm que unido al factor de la camara 1.6, en primario, rellena completamente el encuadre, de hecho, aproveche para grabar algunos videos de prueba y no me di cuenta, que con el formato video hd, la luna no entra completa en el encuadre. El color verde es del WB para simular el filtro lunar que no tengo.
Sequence of eclipse images. Totality images were shot at a variety of exposures to show different features of the corona. All eclipse photos were shot through a Stellarvue SV70 70mm f/6 refractor and Nikkor 1.4x teleconverter for focal length of 588mm, and effective focal ratio of f/8.4 on a Nikon D7200 at ISO 400. Exposures were changed via shutter speed adjustments.
The photos in this set were converted from RAW to jpeg in Fast Stone Image Viewer without additional processing.
Small gaps among leaves of a large tree threw images of the crescent-shaped sun onto the sidewalk, creating images the way a pinhole camera creates images.
Time-lapse of the totality phase of the eclipse on August 12, 20206
Extracted all images from the video sequence (+/-1,100 images), debayer them with PixInsight, and saved them as TIF files
Then created an animation using DaVinci Resolve.

August 21, 2017, viewed from Dubois badlands, Wyoming. This is a frame from a video I took in a rather amateurish fashion (lots of fumbling etc.). Note the bright star Regulus at lower left, the very bright three-pronged solar corona, and the pink hue from the prominences. I've seen three total solar eclipses in clear skies, and this one had the best shadow bands.
