Eclipse de lune du 27 juillet 2018 sous une météo exécrable. Nuage, vent alors que nos avions eu une superbe météo dans les semaines précédentes. Un peu complètement rageant...

Viewing the solar eclipse on the Mall

There was a 95% eclipse this morning in Chipping campden, England. Very beautiful.

The total eclipse at Guernsey State Park in Wyoming. It gives you a good idea, but seeing it in person was mesmerizing and magnificent. It was so exciting to see it that I accidentally bumped the camera creating a wobbling effect (video stabilization) at the end which adds to the drama of the "diamond ring."

Lamentablemente en nuestra zona el día del eclipse estuvo nublado. Por suerte, se fue despejando y se pudieron ver los últimos momentos del fenómeno. Algo es algo...

During the eclipse in full totality, making the whole horizon look like a sunset. Was an amazing experience.

Focus of this conversion has been the front end which as generally followed my Streetdeck process to create a fair representation of the real bus.

Windscreen is a home-made attempt which is ok, but needs further development and the next build, currently under way, will incorporate a few tweaks to this arrangement to help soften things a little.

The next one will also be lengthened to properly match the dimensions of the extended East Coast Buses prototype.

I got out of bed a half-hour before this morning's totality to get myself ready for the great orange globe. I went back to bed an hour and a half later.

While up, I took about five dozen pictures of the eclipse. Out of that I have about a half-dozen favourites. This is one of them.

This picture is worked from the raw file, trying to retain the actual colour and brightness of the fully eclipsed moon while showing as many tree branches as possible, and not losing the stars in the background. I'm happy with the result. I expect that if I had used one of the camera's "computational modes" I would have ended up with something more visually satisfying. But I like using the camera as a camera. And I like this picture.

This is my first try at the progression of the eclipse. I only shot the first half of the eclipse and stacked them into one photo. www.capturedbylorraine.com www.facebook.com/capturedbylorraine

Today is the big day! Our very own Bohus is in Nashville to capture the 2017 Eclipse. Here's a telescope sporting a modified WonderPana filter holder along with our ND1000 + ND16 filters stacked up to knock the sun down by 14 stops. That'll make it possible to shoot even before the total eclipse. (We won't mention the implications of his choice to wear a Radio Shack T-shirt :)

Eclipse Photos - Nimrod Lake, Arkansas

Sometimes pointing your camera at the right place, at the right time, and firing a burst of photos off with a large dose of luck is what it takes.

The eclipse allows for a long exposure of the full moon revealing some of the stars beyond (apparently part of the Pisces constellation).

Eclipse EA500 2-CAZZ

September's eclipse of the Sun is documented in the 68 frames of this timelapse composite. Starting at 1pm local time a frame every 4 minutes follow's the progress of the New Moon across the solar disk. Taken near the centerline of the narrow eclipse path, the series of exposures ends with a golden sunset. Balanced rock cairns in the foreground line a beach on the southern side of Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, near the village of Etang-Salé. Of course, the close balance in apparent size creates drama in eclipses of the Sun by the Moon as seen from planet Earth. In an annular eclipse, the Moon's silhouette is just small enough to show the solar disk as a narrow ring-of-fire at maximum eclipse phase. via NASA ift.tt/2cjUQNE

Solar Eclipse...I just got done taking some photo's of the eclipse with my old camera & lens. Someone told me the eclipse could possibly damage the camera. I used a welding lens as a filter

Eclipsing moon in a break in the clouds in NSW, Australia

This was taken from a hill called the Billing in Rawdon Leeds. there was total cloud cover for the whole period of the eclipse other than a couple brief moments.

Unfortunately, because of the cloudy weather, I made only photos a little after a full eclipse phase.

Last night’s total lunar eclipse had a rocky start behind the clouds, but luckily they parted just in time for the rest of the show.
