The eclipse allows for a long exposure of the full moon revealing some of the stars beyond (apparently part of the Pisces constellation).
A modernistic splendor of steel and glass unmatched by anything else around, this half of the "Marilyn Monroe Towers" in Mississauga was eclipsed by the grace of a soaring hawk that drew my attention away.

Solar Eclipse...I just got done taking some photo's of the eclipse with my old camera & lens. Someone told me the eclipse could possibly damage the camera. I used a welding lens as a filter

I'm a bit disappointed when i was shooting this because the sky wasn't totally clear.

I have a longer zoom lens. but this 90mm prime is my sharpest.

I believe this is an eclipse male wigeon on Park Hall Lake. It was quite friendly, coming in quite close for this shot.

Stages of the total lunar eclipse as seen from Brisbane on Saturday 28th July 2018. Note that the full moon was already in the Earth's penumbra in the first image of this sequence and hence dimmer than normal. This is a blend, obviously, in Photoshop, of images taken approximately 10 minutes apart, starting at 4:10am and finishing at 5:40am. There are about 10 stops difference in the exposures of the illuminated moon and the eclipsed moon.
Each image was taken from a tripod with a Fujifilm X-T2 and XF 100-400mm lens, at 400mm, f/8 to f/5.6, 1/1000 sec to 1/10 sec, and ISO 1600 to 6400. (In retrospect, I could have used slower shutter speeds and lower ISOs.)
Here is my similar image from 4 years previously:

I stayed up until 3.30am to attempt to photograph the lunar eclipse. It was more difficult than I expected and at totality I needed an iso of 2500 which has made the last three shots rather noisy.
... but the sun is eclipsed by the moon ...
