The lunar eclipse on 3rd March 2007, as seen from Leicester.

There are 22 images stacked together, each one separated by 11 mins 30sec.
Lots of stars can be seen in the photograph. Just like there are multiple images of the Moon, there are also multiple images of the stars.
At the bottom, we have Alphard (mag 2.0) going into the trees on the bottom right and Spica (mag 1.0) to the bottom left.
Above the Moon is Leo, and the stars Regulus (1.4), Denebola (2.1) and Algieba (2.2) are all visible.
The brightest 'star', half-way between the Moon and the top of the picture, is actually the planet Saturn.
I was actually at the Physics Ball drinking beer in Leicester town centre as my camera was automatically taking these photographs!

The annular eclipse was pretty cool, even with the 90% coverage we had in San Francisco. But somehow, none of the images showed the moon across the face of the sun. So I decided to try some extreme processing.
This was taken just after the maximum eclipse, about two hours before sunset.
Worth viewing on black if you have time.

This room was crazy, with a massive mirror ball hanging in the middle, lit from both sides the reflections made the room feel like it was spinning. I nearly walked through but had to get a better look at the ball, each mirror has a picture of an eclipse in a different phase on it! Awesome.
Again I was glad of the bit of extra speed from the Fuji 800 film.

A solar eclipse is one of nature's grandest spectacles. It occurs when the Moon blocks any part of the Sun. On Monday, August 21, 2017, a solar eclipse was visible across all of North America. The whole continent experienced a partial eclipse lasting two to three hours. Halfway through the event, anyone within a roughly 70 mile-wide path from Oregon to South Carolina experienced a brief total eclipse, when the Moon completely blocked the Sun's bright face for up to 2 minutes and forty seconds, turning day into night and making visible the otherwide hidden solar corona....the Sun's outer atmosphere....one of nature's most awesome sights.
This shot of a partial eclipse was taken outside of the 70 mile-wide "path of totality". Though, in this area of northern California, the maximum coverage was 75%.....at the time this photo was taken, the moon had covered only around 25%.

The 2017 solar eclipse. Where I was, it peaked at about 58%.
I used a sheet of solar filter material attached to a plastic drain pipe fitting which fit the lens perfectly.
Eclipsed -It took almost 3 years, and 3 attempts to realize this picture .Idea came up in May 2011 over a cup of coffee.Two attempts were made in 2012 ,but failed due to fog and clouds (No attempt was made in 2013 ) .3rd time in 2014 , I got the success in shooting what I wanted for so long :)
Total Lunar Eclipse, January 20, 2019
Tonight I had zero plans for the eclipse, other than driving south, away from the clouds hoping to see it with the family. No particular landmark made the ordeal complicated for a pano (the only thing I was willing to do, if at all), though I knew about this tower as I was driving south, and when we saw it was clearing a bit (it had been raining heavily for more than half of the way), I decided to give it a try, not before having to walk on about 200 feet of pure mud and puddles - without boots - in order to get this angle LOL!! It was worth it, though
