The eclipse allows for a long exposure of the full moon revealing some of the stars beyond (apparently part of the Pisces constellation).

Solar Eclipse...I just got done taking some photo's of the eclipse with my old camera & lens. Someone told me the eclipse could possibly damage the camera. I used a welding lens as a filter

Eclipse 2008. Fought with clouds but got a few clear shots.

Unfortunately, because of the cloudy weather, I made only photos a little after a full eclipse phase.

Decided to stay up and mess around with a few shots of the lunar eclipse tonight and throw this together before sleep. Thanks to my friend Adam for hanging out and helping. Time to warm up and get some rest!

This was our small slice of totality here in the Commonwealth.

here is another picture shows compostions of different stages of the eclips on 28 Aug 2007

enjoy it

Yesterday morning there was a total lunar eclipse. Unfortunately the clouds moved in before totality. This was the last photo I was able to get before it became too cloudy to see the Moon. You can see the Earth's shadow on the top left of the moon.

A modernistic splendor of steel and glass unmatched by anything else around, this half of the "Marilyn Monroe Towers" in Mississauga was eclipsed by the grace of a soaring hawk that drew my attention away.

I believe this is an eclipse male wigeon on Park Hall Lake. It was quite friendly, coming in quite close for this shot.

There are 22 images stacked together, each one separated by 11 mins 30sec.

Lots of stars can be seen in the photograph. Just like there are multiple images of the Moon, there are also multiple images of the stars.

At the bottom, we have Alphard (mag 2.0) going into the trees on the bottom right and Spica (mag 1.0) to the bottom left.

Above the Moon is Leo, and the stars Regulus (1.4), Denebola (2.1) and Algieba (2.2) are all visible.

The brightest 'star', half-way between the Moon and the top of the picture, is actually the planet Saturn.

I was actually at the Physics Ball drinking beer in Leicester town centre as my camera was automatically taking these photographs!

I wasn't able to see the eclipse this year, but I took this eclipse photo through the glass of a welding helmet when I was living in Minneapolis in 2017
