I'm a bit disappointed when i was shooting this because the sky wasn't totally clear.
Actress Ashley Greene arrives to the premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" during the 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on June 24, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.
gambled on Edinburgh being a good spot to see it, and it payed out. Here's the inevitable photoblog of the whole thing:
Lunar Eclipse on 20th February 2008 taken from West Des Moines, Iowa.
This is the full sequence of full lunar eclipse. All taken from my Apartment room window.
As the rainbow bubbles rises, it obscures the bigger bubble behind it.
I think it looks like an stellar eclipse, but its really only soap bubbles.
THANKS TO THE POWER OF INTROSPECTION

Full lunar eclipse, August 28, 2007. From Washington State, USA.
My wife and I camped on the deck to watch this take place. It was freezing cold for August. She was smart and tucked into a sleeping bag.
This is about 2 hours worth of pictures. I had to give up around 4:30am, so I didn't get it going the other way..
These were taken with my Canon S3IS on my tripod.
My daughter showed me how to create this mosaic in Photoshop. She is so smart!
For my friend Katcat who encouraged me to keep working on this..

... but the sun is eclipsed by the moon ...
thanks to ethan hein for his moon shared under creative commons
Approximately 1.20 by 1.20. The eclipse quilt from Modern Quilt Workshop book.
Quilted with Dick Bruna flowers motives. Next time, only straight lines!
Taken from Los Altos, California, so nowhere near the total eclipse, however, I just took it 30 minutes ago.
Feeling inspired and after seeing all these wonderful images of the eclipse. I decided it was time to put a little more interest in to my subject. Complete composite image using Adobe Photoshop CC2014

The lunar eclipse on 3rd March 2007, as seen from Leicester.
[ See also the time-lapse video version! ]
There are 22 images stacked together, each one separated by 11 mins 30sec.
Lots of stars can be seen in the photograph. Just like there are multiple images of the Moon, there are also multiple images of the stars.
At the bottom, we have Alphard (mag 2.0) going into the trees on the bottom right and Spica (mag 1.0) to the bottom left.
Above the Moon is Leo, and the stars Regulus (1.4), Denebola (2.1) and Algieba (2.2) are all visible.
The brightest 'star', half-way between the Moon and the top of the picture, is actually the planet Saturn.
I was actually at the Physics Ball drinking beer in Leicester town centre as my camera was automatically taking these photographs!
Estas fotos foram clicadas no dia 27.09.2015 por volta das 23:00hs, na janela de casa, por uma camera Canon 70D + Lente 18-135mm.
The eclipse! even at 256000 ISO I couldn't get a shutter speed near 1/250 so 3200 ISO at 0.5s had to do. About a 1:1 crop.
