(Scottish Black Face X)
These two cuties are now sisters. The little black lamb, Ebony, was rejected by her mother and the shepherd made the decision to pair her with the white lamb’s mother, who had just produced Ivory. This is not unusual. It does, however, take some time for the mother to accept the new lamb as her own. Consequently, the three of them have been isolated, in close quarters, in one of my byres (barns) for about a week, in order to pair successfully.
Here, they have just been allowed into the nursery field, behind my house, for a few days. All is going well, and Ebony is now established as part of the new little family, “in perfect harmony”. Happy days!

Stylish lightweight pocket knife made in France. With a hint of an ebony handle. Lockable blade with liner lock, but still "street legal" in Germany, as it is dual hand operated.
The "37g" name comes from the nominal weight of this knife - 37 grams.
These knives also come with other wood inserts on the handles, such as juniper or olive. Or even as "naked" w/o that piece of wood at all.
Tip, in case you stumble upon those in an online shop: though the "naked" versions do look even more stylish and cool, they are unfortunately very uncomfortable to hold in the hand.
Better buy in a "brick and mortar" shop where you could "try it on" and see how the respective wood and metal combo really looks like.

It was fascinating to watch this damselfly catch and devour a fly. It chewed up the fly in no time at all.

The two in the centre are my neighbour's cats, the rest I have met on my 'travels'.

It is found on the island of Java, as well as on several of the surrounding Indonesian islands. The langur is considered endangered. Ebony Jewelwing Damselfly
Everyone out for the day, so I got a taxi to take me to a nearby “park with a river, please”.
“There’s a Lake, over there...” Some taxi drivers have such a drôle sense of humour 😂
I am hopelessly rubbish at driving, here...Automatic!!! I engage the clutch, but it’s the brake and lookout windscreen!
I spent a glorious three or four hours just whiling away the morning and afternoon, snapping off shots of anything I fancied.
Most of my birdie shots - grackles, cardinals, downie woodpeckers, red-wind blackbirds, and American robins are really bad. I was very excited to see so many, I’m afraid...and cyclists, walkers, joggers, skateboarders and children, CHILDREN, kept appearing out of the trees, specifically to scare away the wee birdies...😁
On the way out of the park, I saw this little guy flit in front of me. I followed him, like a stalker...Thrilled!

I finally got an image of one of these little beauties with enough back light to show some of the detail in those wings.

Her beautiful highlighted hair and sweeping, lush eyelashes accent her lovely eyes and gorgeous face....

..actually it's white plastic and black plastic, but the sentiment is there!!
Black and White. This made me think of Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney's song. "Ebony and Ivory, living together in perfect harmony..." We are different but we are the same. Praying for peace. (Macro Mondays Theme: opposites) HMM
