Tony and I had a lovely Easter break with sister Julie Orchids love rainwater . We all had a day out to the Welsh seaside! Aberaeron is a pretty little place on the coast in Ceredigion. We had a good wander around followed by a fish and chip supper sitting outside in the sunshine. We picked the best day for the weather as it was dry, warmish and sunny.

On Easter Saturday evening the (mainly) Catholic pilgrims walk silently through the streets of the village to the garden of the Anglican Shrine for the start of the vigil. They have a brief service there and light candles at the foot of the Calvary. They then walk back through he streets, singing hymns to the catholic Church to continue their prayers.

Well, it's Easter, so eggs and chocolate and daffodils are pretty well a must for any photo. Whilst yesterday's daffodils were still alive, it would have been a shame not to make the most of them in a some more photos. The mini-hurricane lamp always adds a touch of rustic charm to an image, tying in with the rural theme. The eggs are quails' eggs, from Waitrose Supermarket, that have been emptied out so that I can keep them for future photographs. Part of the Polish Community Holy Saturday celebration here in Curitiba, in the Bosque João Paulo II (forest of John Paul II) – memorial of the Polish immigration.
[The forest] was opened in 1981, soon after Pope John Paul II´s visit to Curitiba. Composed of seven wooden houses you get an idea about the living [conditions] of the immigrants at that time.

Norway, Arendal, Tromøy, Hove. A seagull soaring through the sky on a good, uplifting wind over the rocks on the shore of Hove.
It's a cliché photo, and I hadn't thought about posting it at all, but reviewing the photos from that day, looking for another motive I thought had some merit, this one caught my eye - the simple beauty of it works good. It has a no-nonsense feel of Norwegian summer - although it was taken in early Spring. Photos don't always reveal the temperatures.

First time travelling back into Birmingham City Centre for about 3 or 4 months with my camera.
Got the train to the Jewellery Quarter, before a walk around and the train home from Birmingham Moor Street.
The Chamberlain Clock was restored by Smith of Derby from August 2020 to March 2021.
I missed it being reinstalled here while we were still on "Stay at Home" restrictions, but it changed to "Stay Local" on Monday 29th March 2021.
So I got the train up on Easter Saturday the 3rd April 2021 to see the clock on the start of my walk around the City Centre.
