Travelling back from Anglesey yesterday lead us through wonderful North Welsh countryside since we tried to avoid the motorways at all cost and as long as possible. Following the quieter Welsh B roads was such a fabulous treat for eyes and mind!
Have a fabulous week everyone. Remember to stay positive and to pray harder when the going gets tough! :) Take it slow, take it easy! :)

When the sun came out, this cold Easter Monday was even more pleasant than by just warming up with mulled wine...
Late afternoon on Easter Monday, 2025.
Monday, 21st April, 2025.
The view across Lavender Bay from the Colonnades Lookout.
In the foreground is Luna Park, whilst across Lavender Bay is McMahons Point. In the far distance, across the harbour, is the Walsh Bay Wharf Precinct & Barangaroo.
This, for me, is a newly discovered vantage point just off Alfred Street at Milsons Point (aka North Sydney), and a little way along Cliff Street.
AND, along Cliff Street is an amazing (and super cheap - for Sydney, lol) Vietnamese restaurant - Viet Earth. I returned to this after getting all my sunset harbour photographs!!

Detail of seeds from our Bulrush plant by the pond - they are about the same size as Dandelion seeds. Happy Macro Monday! A frenzied tangle ready to be blown by the wind ...

On Easter Monday our family headed off on a day out. My brother in law knows lots of cool places and one of the first locations was this place..... Castle Roche, Dundalk, Co. Louth, Ireland.
It's in a fantastic location on a hill and was built in 1236. Here's a little bit of Wikipedia on it.... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Roche
I loved the view out through the window with all the cattle grazing and you can just make out those fences in the background :) that reminds me... Happy Fence Friday everyone :) :) :)
Hope you've all had a good week so far and your weekend is superb :) Thanks everyone for the great comments on my last upload :)
Still haven't managed to find any decent butterfly shots from Easter Monday, but this gorgeous field of rapeseed.
For those of you who don't know me, I'm only 5'2" and rapeseed is a lot taller than that.... so, I had to stand on my tiptoes and reach my camera as high as I could into the air... I was able to twist my screen down so I could see what I was shooting LOL
It was a dull evening, but I think I salvaged this one :)
I'm so glad we're getting closer to the weekend. Even with 2 days off, I'm still shattered LOL
Have a lovely Thursday and thank you for stopping by and for the great comments on yesterday's Spring Scene Pic :)
Yesterday my Mum and I ended up in Seaforde, County Down at the Butterfly House... and yes, before you all point out... I am aware that this is not a butterfly LOL
They must have over 20 peacocks wandering the grounds outside and this gorgeous male put on a wonderful display for all of us :)
It took almost 20 minutes for my camera to unsteam with the heat in with the butterflies, so my shots didn't turn out that great... I might have a few in the next couple of days, but there might be some heavy editing LOL
Hope you all had a great Monday :)
Thank you for the fab comments on yesterday's head on flying goose :) :) :)
Too windy for me to walk outside safely in these high winds today therefore it has to be an indoor shot.

Position: Easter tradition in some places of the Eastern Slovakia. Baskets with food are built around the church and after the mass is the priest sanctified to all abundance.
A Winter Dusting
I've looked at this view a few times before but was never tempted to take a shot until Easter Monday. I probably would have liked a bit more snow, but still liked the effect of the dusting of snow.

This little bird was calling away in a sapling not too far from where I was sitting in the garden at lunchtime.
Tweede Paasdag bracht ons een grote en snelle afwisseling tussen zonneschijn en hagel- en sneeuwbuien. Met een krachtige noordwestenwind en 4ºC (tijdens buien dalend naar 1ºC) was het dan ook guur.

Easter Monday brought us a big and fast alternation between sunshine and hail and snow showers. With a strong breeze from the north-west and 4ºC (dropping to 1ºC during showers), it was bleak.

It was a rainy and cold Easter Monday in Sicily. We all thought that it looked like Christmas time... But, eventually, at the end of the afternoon, a little sunshine came softly and we could see the colors of spring!
