I was fortunate enough to see a number of reticulated giraffes when I was in northern Kenya last month. With only about 15 000 animals left in the wild, these are rare animals that can only be found in northern Kenyan parks like Ol Pejeta and Samburu. This particular animal was on the move in the early evening.

Early Rhododendron calophytum

in Botanical Garden, Frankfurt

Early during the Spring, the Black Swallowtail butterflies are the first to visit my Azalea flowers. For a few days, I was able to capture this visitor enjoying its feast. The Azalea blooms pass so quickly, especially when they bloom unexpectantly early here in southern Georgia. I am heading out to Callway Gardens and exploring during the week. There shall be plenty of photography and plein air painting. When I get back, I shall be shooting the Milky Way back on Jekyll Island at my favorite 3am shooting time. :-)) Wishing everyone a Happy Easter and wonderful weekend.
