I met Mary and Leah in Best Buy while I was walking through the photography section. The ladies spotted my D200 hanging off of my Black Rapid RS-7 strap and asked me if I knew something about photography. I said sure and listened to their questions. They were looking at filters for the Canon camera that Leah had, and a fish-eye lens. I directed them to check out Southeastern Camera, the only camera store in Wilmington, but they were closed unfortunately. They had no problems with taking a photograph for my 100 Strangers project. I ended the brief exchange like I always do. I thanked them for their time, made sure I had the correct spelling of their respective names, wrote down their email addresses, and gave them each my business card. Thank you ladies for participating.

I am Photographer. I tell stories with my camera, and capturing history every chance I get when I press the shutter button. My passion is to create, preserve, and share the moments I witness. If you don't like what you see, change the channel. Don't throw stones at what you fear to understand or cannot create. Every artist has a voice, I refuse to allow mine to be silent. Deal with it or keep it moving!

Alyssa works at the local gas station in my neighborhood. I was talking with Alyssa and her colleagues about the photograph I shot of Mr. Frog's Green Machine (click here to see Mr. Frog's Green Machine). After speaking with her for a minute or two, I decided to ask her if she would mind having her picture taken. I explained to her what the Project 365 was all about and she agreed to shoot a few photographs. It is always nice to meet nice, courtesy, and professional people like Alyssa and her colleagues at the gas station. Everyone that works at the gas station is always polite with their customers.

This is the first photograph for the 100 Stranger Project that I've decided to incorporate into my Project 365. What's wrong will killing two birds with one stone? There may be some who think doing a 100 Stranger Project within a Project 365 isn't the way to do it. But photography is photography no matter how or why you take the photograph in my book.

My journey along the Project 365 has been amazing so far. It has been stressful at times, but the Project 365 has propelled me into new areas of photography and creativity that I hadn't ventured into. If you haven't done a Project 365, you are truly missing out on a self development project that will make you into a better photographer. I'm using my camera ever day, non-stop. My skills in post processing in Adobe Photoshop CS5 are growing. One of the only ways to improve as a photographer is through the fires of experience. Get out there and take a photograph today, it doesn't matter what you shoot, just as long as you do something with your camera.

This is an HDR photograph of my Commonplace Book. A Commonplace Book is a book I used to write down and collect my favorite quotes, sayings, verses. Whenever I come across a quote or saying that I like, I'll write it down in this book. I'll also include some of my favorite poems too. The point is to gather together the things that inspire you. The quotes I record inspire me which is one of the purposes of my Commonplace Book.

This is a single shot photograph processed with an HDR filter in HDR Efex Pro.
