Netherlands, Noord Holland, IJmuiden, Noordersluis (Northern lock), Dyna Pure wood chip bulk carrier (slightly cut from T&B)
While watching the Dyna Pure wood chip carrier (build in 2006,
210 x 32m, DWT 54 kT) passing the locks, Boz Scaggs' song Dinah Flow entered my mind and after that, ofcourse, the suavely funky opening bars of Lowdown (the You Tube link is to a 2004 life version of the song). And thru the processing of this pic of the ship I got the feeling hat the engineering department of the ship’s builder must have had a certain ironic affinity with the early 20th century supramist painter & sculpturist Kadinsky.
This is number 11 of the IJmuiden album and 1185 of Minimalism & explicit graphism.

Dyna Fyr is a must-see landmark in the middle of the Oslofjord. The former lighthouse was built in 1874. Today, this unique venue is used for receptions and parties. It’s the perfect location for intimate gatherings from 20 to 40 people. Our menu consists of fresh seafood in season. We're open from Easter to Christmas.
Dyna Fyr is available for closed parties from 20-40 persons for lunch and dinner.

I waited half an hour before the cruise ship steamed through my long exposure too capture the streaks. I was begging for someone to turn on the lights inside, but unfortunately no guests there last night.
Dyna Light in Oslo Fjord near Oslo, Norway

Dyna Light is perched on a stone islet resembling a ship bow. Its lantern, which reaches a height of 40.5 feet, looks like a church steeple except it contains a fog horn instead of a bell. This navigational beacon was built in 1875 about 220 yards off the Bygdøy coastline. This is a couple miles away from Oslo. When Dyna Fyr was renovated in 1992, its white wooden keeper’s house was converted into a banquet and special event facility. However, it is still an active lighthouse.

Dating from the mid '60s as far as I can deduce, this 2 ton? payload Toyota Dyna is still to be found working on the island of Malta.
To be honest I'm suprised at myself for taking a picture of this, but its rather ungainly appearance due to its odd proportions gave it a certain charm and I'm even thinking of starting a group for the wonderful selection of early Japanese light commercials built before 1970 that are still to be found on this Mediterranean outpost long after other examples on foreign shores have rusted away!!
