Just like the good old days, although I always preferred the taller DC leading. Not that we get much of that anymore, but the DCs do still lead occasionally..

Floating upon an ocean of glitter and rose, a little red fox sails home.
Or is the ocean really a bowl of water?
Taken for the theme Floating. For the group Smile on Saturday/Shabbat.
How I made this picture:
I filled a shallow clear plastic bowl with water. The boat is actually an origami boat folded from a sheet of aluminium foil. I put the boat on the water and carefully placed the fox on board.
The bokeh effect you see is actually from silver bubble wrap.

Repost of recent but not new abstract composition in Amity Street series where I started these with ballpoint pens, rulers, templates, protractors and salad bowls.
Nikon D700. Lens: AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED. Shutter 1/250 at f/ 16. ISO speed 160. Manual Exposure. Manual Focus. DX Mode.
Strobist info: SB-600 fired from Camera right. Manual Power 1/64. Triggered using on-board flash. On board flash set to (--) Mode.
16-Bit RAW processed in Nikon Capture NX2. Adobe Photoshop CS4 curve adjustments for contrast.
