For Jan, looks very much like the one you saw! Although the plant is small the flowers are normal size, I have it in a large pot.
85mm + 500D closeup lense + 12mm ext. tube...these flowers are about 1 and 1/4 inch diameter. The 85mm 1.2 lense is not close focusing.
The legend of wroclaw dwarfs
Story says that the gnomes have lived in Wrocław since the beginning,
and their history is passed down from generation to generation.
The first gnome to appear in the settlement was the well-known Papa Dwarf.
He, along with his fellows, helped the first Wroclaw residents in their daily activities.
The gnomes repaired everyday objects, worked in the fields, patched holes in people’s clothes,
and helped raise children. In return, they received safety and shelter.
Since then, they are considered as the town’s protective spirits.
In the legends, it is said that where the gnomes live, prosperity
and order reign. The symbiosis of people and Wrocław gnomes coexist to this day,
and the little statues scattered throughout the city are here to remind you of it.
*Süntelbuche im Herbst*
Last Wednesday I drove to the northern Eifel to catch a few autumn moods. Fortunately, the over 200 year old dwarf beech tree on a Celtic burial mound near Blankenheim still had a few autumn-colored leaves ... and occasionally the sun came out.

The dwarf crocodile, also known as the African dwarf crocodile (Osteolaemus tetraspis), broad-snouted crocodile or bony crocodile, is an African crocodile that is also the smallest extant species of crocodile. @Philadelphia Zoo
If you look closely you will see two humans in the horizon. A cool effect of using a wide-angle lens.
I took this photo when I hiked Romsdalseggen in Norway this summer.
Have a great Sunday and thank you for visiting!

In our garden.
Thank you so much for the kind words, comments and visit - truly appreciated :^)
I received a parcel at the end of last year, a box full of bulbs, I don't know where they came from but as no one has claimed them I decided to plant them in. There are these lovely dwarf Irises, purple crocus and one more that hasn't come out yet.
I noticed a couple coming toward me as I started on a hike in Great Basin National Park. It struck me how tiny the people were in comparison to the towering Wheeler Peak. The grandeur that nature gives us is overwhelming and reminds us of our place on the planet!
Great Basin National Park is located in eastern Nevada close to the Utah border. The park includes most of the South Snake mountains.
