So, the owner of a food business who served meals and snacks to construction workers realized that the two most popular foods he sold were coffee and donuts. And that's how Dunkin Donuts was born. The sprinkles on this white iced donut are their signature colors.

Dunkin' Donuts yeast doughnut with "chocolate" frosting and sprinkles. I do not like these doughnuts, but it was the only kind they had with sprinkles for this photo challenge.

In the blurry distance we see a cross rising above.... an apartment house? ..... indicating a store front church?..... the art work has been commisioned by the owners of the strip mall.... announcing their connection to the new, "artistic" residents of the Lower East Side? But, of course, the main exhibits are Dunkin' Donuts and Ray Pizza, affordable alternatives to high priced fruits and veggies for sale in the supermarkets.

Cap & Gown Countdown
before I left for college I pretty much lived at dunkin donuts, every tuesday morning i would meet a friend there for breakfast before school...we would spend countless nights there, and quite frequently we didn't leave until the nurses came in for their morning shifts. Well out at Cal they don't believe in DD the closest one isn't close at all...we've made a few trips, but not as frequent as they should be....But whenever I come home, its just almost an unspoken thing that we end up at..Dunkin Donuts. I order one of two things...either a medium coffee with sugar and ice, or a medium carmel iced coffee with cream and sugar...depends on my mood..they are both delicious.
So needless to say I was at Dunkin' tonight, and all of the employees pretty much know us by name. and Another great thing about being in college and at home for some DD is...we ALWAYS (not exaggerating) we always see our Elementary School Librarian, and she will always say hello and ask us how we are doing...it just makes you happy when she arrives.

The second lockdown in the Netherlands. It's 10h22 on the last day of the year. No tourists and all non-essential shops are closed. Even Dunkin'Donuts and Burger King are closed here.

I've been up since 4am because of the howling wind and driving rain. Being a light sleeper sucks. I spent most of the night listening to garbage pails tumble down the street and stray branches fly against the house. And now I have to spend the next hour before work getting the beds out of the bedrooms because the carpets are being installed today.
It's going to be one of those days. Work, something to do after work, then food shopping, then home, put groceries away, make dinner and THEN, after Todd works overtime (which he is doing EVERY night this week), put all the furniture back in the bedrooms.
Ever have one of those days where your first though on waking is "how long til I can go back to sleep?" Yea, it's going to be a long time.
No, I'm not really eating the donuts for breakfast. The last thing I need today is a sugar crash.
